Who Is Hurt More By 2 QB System? Offense or Defense?

The theory of a 2 QB system according to Miles is that defenses somehow have to prepare twice as hard. Yet on the flip side, lineman, receivers, and backs have to prepare for two different QB's, with different abilities. Heck, even different voice tones have to be difficult to adjust to when crowd noise gets up there.
My guess is that offenses have a more difficult time adjusting to two QB's than opposing defenses.
Plus, our offense seems to use the same (limited) formations for both QB's, so I would guess that the defense pretty much makes very few adjustments for each QB.

offense. a 2 qb system creates hell for rhythm and for the o line.

I've have felt all along that "Make the Defense Prepare for 2 QBs" is just a myth. I don't count the "wildcat" as part of this b/c it really is only one or two plays.
It is much harder for a team to prepare two QBs to play than it is to prepare to defend two QBs.

The only time a dual QB threat is actually a threat is when BOTH of them can consistently throw. If one specializes in throwing situations and the other in running, then the defense will be able to anticipate what they will do.

"You got one quarterback, you're ok. You got two, you got nothin" Bum Phillips.
That also applies to DC's. Miles should know!

our 2 qb system has caused some problems, but damn i'd hate to see where we'd be without it. i'm sorry to say but we don't really have a very good qb; oh, both shine at times and JL is very exciting but he sure didn't look like he was leading us to victory last week. i think our OL is very much part to blame as they really aren't very good at pass blocking the good defensive lines. seldom does our qb have a lot of time.

Must have been reading my mind. I was going to mention the rhythm of each QB in my post.I wonder how many ways the skilled players and o-line have to adjust.

@LSU Granddad - Not trying to make a new JJ v JL thread, so you don't have to worry about defending JJ here.
