That also applies to DC's. Miles should know!

Went to one game last year and asked myself why on the two mile walk back to my car and then it took an hour and a half to get on I-10.

Am I a bad fan

I bleed purple and gold, been a season ticket holder for 40 yrs. but give my tickets to family when game is on TV,getting too old to fight the crowd. After three and out on defense and two pretty good looking first downs to get across mid-field, I bet my son-in-law the next trip to the cooler that JJ would turn it over before we got a point.

And be prepared for many more of the same, as long as Les is coach. Same syndrome as Charlie
Mac - good guy, inherited a top flight program, lock on recruiting, but never an elite level head coach. Result - years of frustrating "near misses", never greatness. I will credit Miles with doing something Mac never could - win it all one year. Les, like Charlie, will always lose two - four games per year as a result of serious coaching deficiencies in one or another area. A huge step UP from Archer, Curley, DiNardo, but never in the top tier.

I believe you and I are from the same era. This is one of the best posts I have seen here in a while and it sad but so true.
They did work on the offense------just forgot to fix it.

re: All of our "talent" at WR

If you are a wide receiver in this offense and when the play is called, you are not the primary receiver, you can't possibly bring yourself to going all out on the play. And if you are the primary receiver, you know there is a 60% chance the ball will not even get close to you.

The sad thing my friend is that neither one will ever be a solid performer. Once again-------we are screwed. Lots of talent everywhere but qb. If ZL would have stayed he would have been starting by the third game. At least Nutt knows when he has nothing, bites the bullet and gets a body on campus that at least gives you a chance. We continue to drink the Kool-aid and avoid the issue. So sad.

re: Jordan Jefferson

Jordan Jefferson is a below average SEC QB and will never be any better. In two years have you ever seen him throw the ball before a receiver comes out of his break. He doesn't get sacked because of an inability to step up in the pocket, he gets sacked because of a phobia to hold the ball until a receiver is wide open and that doesn't happen often. A receiver is open for a split second and then the gap closes, BINGO. Unfortunately he is the best we have unless the Z man stays.
I've been a season ticket holder for 43 yrs.I still have the passion but not the emotion for Tiger football---get over a loss in about a day now. I enjoy coming here, pretty entertaining most of the time but on the issue of starting QB. Not funny anymore. JL or JJ could not start at Southeastern next year. It will be another long season.
Is the quality of high school football in La. > Texas, Florida, Cali??
Louisiana leads the nation in NFL players per capita?

re: Billy Cannon Punt Return

You young guys have no concept of how much of a freak Cannnon was in his day. I ran track against him in high school. He won what would now be the 5A state title in the 100 and shot on the same day. There was one player (offensive lineman) bigger than him on the 58 team and he ran the hundred in 9.8. He ran over 6 players on that punt return.
lived in north stadium fall of '64 and spring of '65. All good memories. Great group of guys. Still in touch with many of them. Most of the guys were from small town La. with not enough money to live anywhere else. It was the cheapest place on campus. Cold as hell in the winter, hot and humid in the summer. Would not trade the experience for anything. Boo-Ray games would start on Friday nite and go into Sunday afternoon. We kept beer in our room till Dean Cheatwood paid a visit and threatened the whole floor with expulsion. In those days the tigers walked from the dressing room to the practice fields across Nicholson. They would dress and then all congregate outside till the coaches came out. Some days we would hang out the windows and talk to the players. Most of them were great guys. Very few on ego trips. Good ole days--------------maybe??
agree that the ump was squeezin him but still didn't have his usual good stuff.
that espn posted in the 5th inning. Texas batters had swing at 63 pitches and completely missed on 3? I know there were a lot of foul balls but LC just didn't have good stuff last night. Wish he could get another shot at these assholes.
1.Don't fall in love with a stock. Buy it, set somes limits, and sell it.

2.Don't fall in love with a blackjack table regardless of how chatty the blonde sitting next to you has become or how nice the dealer seems to be. Take your winnings and leave when it goes cold.

3. Don't fall in love with your starting pitcher regardless of how big his heart is or how much he has meant to the team. When his fast ball has lost location and his breaking pitches are hanging out over the launch pad, take him out for his own good, he will thank you later.
The discussion about the strongest bracket is a moot point. Rice is probably better than anyone on the UT side and didn't they take 3of4 from the horns?
