he was very complimentary of Joe Burrow last night, and even got emotional when trying to relate the moment to his own past with football. Gary Danielson is actually very good at calling games.

He was absolutely gushing over Burrow and Helaire after the game. WTF are you talking about? And to be perfectly transparent, I cant stand Danielson.

It was kind of strange, but he almost started to cry talking about LSU, Burrow and co. about not wanted, doubted, etc., and how it reminded him of his own path in life. I was wondering if something was going on with him. But he was extremely complimentary of LSU and their team after the game.

Actually he was mad LSU let Tua score that last garbage touchdown. He was the one that felt appalled that Alabama got in to play LSU in 2011. He argued strongly against them and even said that if LSU happen to lose, they should get half of the championship.
Then over the years when he called the game he actually said LSU was playing Alabama wrong as they keep on trying to challenge Alabama manhood. I think by the game last year he was just sick and is now emotional because LSU has finally beat Alabama in such a stunning fashion.

For example LSU had just answered Bama’s TD with our own TD and CEH did yo-mans work to get that TD for us. But what does Danielson do after commercial break, not highlight CEH and how important of an answer that was from LSU. Nope not CEH and LSU. Your first sentence is true. Your second one is false. He is not good at calling games. He is patently bad at his job. He gets players wrong frequently throughout the game and demonstrates poor knowledge of penalties when trying to deconstruct what occurred on a play. Heard him call #5 Kary Vincent as Kristian Fulton at least once in the broadcast yesterday. You'd figure he would know the difference in the roster of the top team in the country. I mean, they get prep days for these games, they have printed rosters in front of them, and they do player interviews during the week. Not his first LSU game, either. And he does that crap ALL the time. Watch a game, any CBS game that he's on, and track the missed player names from that guy.

His mistake of sperging over Tua, while not knowing he threw an incomplete pass, was pretty bad.
He definitely doesn't bother me like he does most of the Rant though. Everyone complained that he speaks pro-Alabama too much, but people in the Alabama Board game thread were complaining that he was too pro-LSU.
