No. He doesn't. Look at his stats. The only reason he's here is because he has started games against big name opponents, namely Alabama. Our other back ups have not.

It would be nice to see other qb's get some reps. If the receivers can't catch nobody can save us but a mobile qb could help. Mett is too slow in my opinion.

Our wrs will come around. I'm more worried about our line blocking. That's why I think a mobile qb in the red zone packages only would be better.

I would like to see Rivers get a drive or two. We have had a million opportunities over the first 6 games. It would be great to have a backup with one pass on his resume. The first 4 games should have seen this done.

stupid question. Mett doesn't drop the ball, call the plays. He's played OK, and he will improve.

Mett has one weakness unfortunately which is being exploited by the poor offensive line play - he is not a good scrambler.
If the offensive line blocks better and opens up the running lanes and the receivers catch the ball, this weakness is neutralized.
Unfortunately, opposing defenses know all this and they are determined to put LSU in 2nd and long and 3rd and long and bring all kinds of pressure to force Mett to move around.
I like Mett and I think he has way more skills than a quarterback LSU has had in a long time. I just wish it wasn't so easy for opposing defenses to exploit his lack of scrambling ability.
