I was more confident before I saw our offense in the first half yesterday. But I still think we beat them. We won't let TRichardson be wide open again.

Alabama's CBs can be beaten too. That long pass to Randle could have been a TD if thrown better by JJ, then there was the "drop" in the endzone. With all of the additional playing time and bowl game prep under his belt he might actually be able to connect on some passes

I honestly think we beat them handily...by AT LEAST 10-14. Like has been said, being in the Dome will be a much bigger difference than the media seems to think. Imo, we are unbeatable in that venue in this game.

Plus, we have gotten better in all aspects (except maybe passing) since Nov. 5 while Bama has stayed the same or maybe even gotten worse (See GA Southern). I think the emergence of Kenny Hilliard is going to play a big role with him going right at them while JJ and Ford run around them...they'll wear down just like every other opponent and we'll pull away in the 2nd half.

Oh and btw, we have a tendency under Miles to play our best of the year in the bowl game...Bama is the one that should be scared.

Agree with you on all points in this thread. Max brought up a key area of the game, though. Hilliard is going to be a lot more effective than Ware and will score at least once in regulation. No offense to Ware, but he was pretty useless in BDS. Miles would be a complete idiot not to give the rock to Hilliard the majority of the game and get it to Ford in the option.

MJM- GAS racked up 295 rushing yards and don't let any bummer fan convince you that it was against the backup's. I said before the last game that I believed Miles would beat Saban at his own game. [Flip the field; Special Teams; Defense] Miles did just that. I happen to believe that Miles & Chevis was laying the ground work for a potential rematch. If you recall it was Nick that pulled out the bag of tricks. Miles played them straight up. We didn't blitz, and we didn't send back out of the backfield on screens. Remember that they have more to lose. We can enter the game loose. They are considered the better team, our win was a fluke & all the excuses that go with it. In addition; an LSU win will prove to the nation a mistake was made by putting them in the game. Miles beats Saban twice in the same season and 3 N a row. IMO all the pressure is on them. Not that I recognize it- the best bama can accomplish is a co-national title. LSU wins and it will be undisputed. That will be priceless. LSU beats the gumps by 10 or more in a rematch. Either TR or AJ leaves the game. 13-0 & headed to NU O.

What the shiggity is going on with this board? Do you not have confidence in "this" team. We are 13--0 and absolutely smothered almost all of our opponents. I was never shaken by the first half of yesterday's game. It wasn't pretty, but I have faith in this LSU team.

Once I saw them play Oregon, I knew "this" team was on a mission. Each week my faith grew stronger in my belief that NOLA and the crystal ball was the main goal for these guys.

Ok, so most of the pundits think Bama is better. We will show them they are wrong, and just like I've told them on my job, save your "Congrats" because all the haters want to see somebody beat us and they feel Bama will. Well, get in line baby, cuz it won't happen this year.

Coach Miles has a plan and it will be well excecuted on January 9, 2012. Count on it.

I'm a girl, and I feel that strongly. Some of you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. The Gumps are getting a "free pass" to the NGC. The Superdome will be filled with LSU fans cheering their team to victory. Believe that!

WE HAVE GOT THIS!!! I'm 100% confident.

And who was that opponent that we didn't smother?

Underestimating the opponent is a dangerous game ... luckily I don't think the Tigers will do that against Bama, like they did UGA.

I would hate to be the bama team that lines up jan 9 against the tigers. The bcs has basically spit in the tigers faces. They beat them once but thats not good enough. I am sure they are going to be pissed. LSU is going to kick their gump arse

We have better overall depth, better overall speed, better special teams, and more consistent playmaking skills.

There was a reason we beat Bama in Bama. We are just better.

I'm somewhat confident. Last game, one player was responsible for 60% of Bama's total yardage. As he goes, so does Alabama.

When he couldn't convert with the game on the line, they couldn't score. When he couldn't drive them through the redzone, they couldn't get a field goal.

What I'm worried about, like most, is the offense. BUT, I think the emergence of Kenny Hilliard, and a month to prepare (I know, its cliche but its truth) are two things we can lean on.

We don't win shite with 30 yards passing. And Bama will pick the balls that GA defenders dropped.
