LSU needs AU to win the Iron Bowl and GT to beat UGa to have a realistic shot.

And the Texas over the Sooners, NW to win the B1G championship and UCF to catch a loss.

UGA (if the Bama loss is close) or LSU

UCF is not getting in now that their starting Qb is out

Why don't you take off the purple and gold glasses and just pull for LSU to win today and end up matched against a team they can beat in the bowl?

There's something to say for people who can support a team without being delusional and making excuses, you know.

But they can put OU in that is the worst D in P5 or GA that got completely dominated by that bad LSU team, right? I say moron.

Yes, provided UGA doesn't get raped, 11-2 UGA is in.

I think LSU would be in.

I guess it would be a LSU-UGA-UCF discussion... UGA probably thrown out due to loss to LSU, so it becomes a LSU-UCF discussion. Really hard to predict what would happen at that point as UCF is truly a wild card that no one is real sure what to do with.

I actually want Oklahoma to win out and play Alabama. It would be awesome to see what Alabama's offense can do to Oklahoma's non-defense as well as what Alabama's defense can do to the Oklahoma offense. It would also serve as an opportunity to end all the respect these high-powered offense/no defense teams have been getting lately.

The committee’s job is to put the four best teams in based on body of work. In the event of that unlikely scenario, we’d have a shot based on whole body of work. While nobody wants to see a Bama rematch round one, there may be few better options in the case of that scenario. UCF isn’t getting in. They really have no quality wins. 12 wins, yes, but there is zero chance they would have gone 9-3 or better with our schedule.

A more interesting wrinkle to that scenario would be if ND also loses tonight. In that scenario, they could be dropped to 4.

If it’s a close sec championship game then probably Georgia.

And by close you mean <29-0 then yea. An 11 win GA has to have lost by 30 min to not seed higher than us.

The committee is supposed to choose the best teams. UCF is definitely not one of the best without their QB.

It has to be UCF even without QB.

With the whole claiming the title last year and such, they would have a month of media milking the story about who the players think were the "real" champions and such..

UCF isn’t getting in. They haven’t played anyone and lost their starting QB. The committee will not come out and admit it but losing their QB finished it for them.

There is no way they put LSU in the playoffs....they couldn’t score against Bama 2 years in a row!
