I'm curious to know how much it happened before the transfer portal.
Coaches used to be able to block certain places for players to transfer to that’s why conference to conference transfers rarely happened. The coaches started to abuse that power they lost that privilege.

Usually it’s the defense that sets up the matchup not the offense. You can do certain things to maybe cause some switching but if the defense wants a DB on a certain guy no matter where he is he will be on that guy.

Let’s not forget ricks is no scrub, I’m sure saban wants to embarrass LSU by having the previous player make plays on LSU.

It’s wild that Ricks hasn’t sniffed the field all year, the game before LSU he’s inserted into the lineup, and completely shuts his side of the field down.

He didn’t really shut his side of the field down. MSU moved the ball up and down on Bama. They just kept stupidly going for it on 4th down in Bama territory instead of taking the FGs.
He played well, but no where did he lock down the field. Rogers still had 231 yards. He had more against Bama than he had against LSU.

This is easy……run the old Green Bay sweep to his side several times…..where is a fullback when you need him? LOL! Actually, LSU needs to prepare for the game and not give Ricks too much attention.

Rogers threw 60 times for 231 yards…

He had four pass breakups and allowed one completion while playing 90 snaps. I can't stand the guy, but a corner can't have a better game outside of getting a pick.

Tell me you don't know anything about how football works, without saying it.
Do we now put receivers out wide to run routes in front of a DB who just happens to be out there?
On second thought - you would be doing the Board a favor if you start a thread on this so people like me could learn something.

I’d LOVE to see Mason Taylor catch a short flat or crossing route, with Ricks trying to square him up! Images of Fournette trucking players!

If Ricks is a traitor, then our QB and a lot of other players are too.

You do know those players are on offense. Not the other way around lmao. Bama can choose who he covers

I appreciate it. You are obviously a goodly and wise poster!
I asked the OP today to start a thread to enlighten us "unwashed". That could be fun, eh?

Any TE or OT with Ricks in their sights needs to get a piece of him downfield on run plays. Run him to the sideline and pancake his arse every time you get a chance.

That would be the TE in motion behind the line!
Where is that freaking "pancake" emoji, dammit!

Watching BTJ abuse this guy on jump ball after jump would be really satisfying.

Bouttee vs Ricks will be the match up most covered but it will be jenkins in one on one coverage on the outside that will have the biggest game.
