Totally disagree. It's not all about ulterior motives. Play teams we rarely play, from different parts of the country, and enjoy it.

It's not the 70s anymore. Recruiting is national, and all players around the country already know our brand.

I'd love us to play all the big names, and some other interesting ones too. Something new.

Home and home with UCLA would be GOAT.

Same thing for Ohio State

Are you people seriously still butt hurt over USC in 2003? If anything, they got screwed over not being able to play us in the NC. We ended up winning and walked away with the real championship trophy. Get over it.

Your logic is stupid... Playing Michigan

What rock have you been living under the past decade? Michigan hasn't won shite. 83 wins in a weak conference and ZERO conference titles in the last ten years. Oklahoma on the other hand has 112 wins and six conference titles.

Why don't we let Michigan do something before we label playing them as huge! If you haven't noticed, Pops, we are a decade and a half from the 1990ies.

You do know players outside of the south and southwest watch LSU games right? This is about as flawed an argument as you can make. What do we gain from playing Wisconsin? How about a national television audience and college gameday? The thought that we schedule these games to get recruits from those areas is idiotic.

I'd love a true home & home with any of USC, Michigan, Michigan State, FSU, or Ohio State

And that cant gained by playing Texas, Oklahoma, or Clemson? Teams that attraction the attention of players who want to play in the south, southeast, or southwest. You really think a good player growing up in Wisconsin for 18 years is going to come to LSU? Much more likely that a good player from somewhere in the south, southeast, or southwest will come to LSU. So, lets play Texas, Oklahoma, or Clemson.

And what is this love to play Michigan? Michigan hasn't done a damn thing in over ten years and our playing them is not going to do a damn thing to help LSU, but it would probably help Michigan.

I would love to travel to away games at:

Michigan
Ohio State
UCLA
Penn State
USC
Florida State
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Arizona State

I really wish college football would do away with regular season neutral site games in favor of more marquee home at home series.

Well, what rock have your been living under the past 2 years? If you don't know that Michigan is now a real threat, both on the field and in recruiting, then you have not been paying attention.

I don't have a problem with people who have a different opinion. But to come on here with an uninformed perspective and then ridicule multiple posters who obviously believe Michigan would be a significant opponent is annoying.

Who cares? This is never the point of these games. People from ALL OVER are watching, and the kids in the south will take notice that we travel for big games like this.

Michigan is 15-10 in the last two years which ranks them as having about the 50th best record in college football. And that comes in a weak conference.

If you think that demonstrates a real threat, you are about as uniformed as they come.

They have a 8 million dollar coach who to this point hasn't done much but cause a stink by having camps around the country.

All I am saying is that LSU playing the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, or Clemson makes more sense than Michigan. I see more upside in those games than playing Michigan.
