My prediction for BCS (if Bama beats LSU):

BCS title - Texas vs. Alabama

Rose - Iowa vs. Oregon

Fiesta - TCU vs. USC

Sugar - Florida vs. Boise State

Orange - Virginia Tech vs. Cincinnati

Others:

Cap One - LSU vs. Ohio State

Outback - South Carolina vs. Penn State

Cotton - Oklahoma State vs. Georgia

Chic Fil A - Ole Miss vs. Miami, FL

Music City - Clemson vs. Tennessee

Independence - Auburn vs. Kansas State

Liberty - Houston vs. Arkansas

Holiday - Kansas vs. Arizona

Alamo - Nebraska vs. Purdue

Gator - Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech

If Auburn, Tennessee, and Arkansas all get into bowl games, i'll be very impressed

from recent play both those are decent predictions. We will not lose to ole miss, but bama and ark are up for grabs. Where are the figs who thought we would finish with 4 and 5 losses?

but i would think c1 bowl against big 10 2nd. Would not mind playing osu again.

A two loss team will never make it again to the NC game.

You never say Never, especially with the BCS. If it happened once it sure as hell can happen again. Maybe not this year but down the road because there is simply to much parity in College Football. So, yes it can happen again.
And yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Clause!

Sugar looks like a good possibility

Sugar takes the SEC champ or runner-up if SEC champ is in title game.

Anyone know what would happen, if another SEC team was ranked higher than the loser of SEC champ game?

Does the Sugar Bowl even get to decide? I believe the BCS tells them who to take. That's why the Rose Bowl is no longer guaranteed a Pac10/Big10 match up.

I'd like to play any over hyped team from another BCS conference so we can put them in their place like GT last year.

I would want to see LSU play Texas or U$C. Those matchups look like a longshot however.

Cap one is a real possibility. It could be PSU, Iowa or OSU.

Cotton....OU or Okie Light. The Cap one matchups look more intriguing to me.

Thats provided LSU finishes with 2-3 losses.

"NONE. Bama and UF. Only two teams are allowed BCS bids from a Conference. Make the SEC title game and your in IMO however"

but lets say FLorida wins the SECCG and goes on to play in the title game. The SUgar Bowl gets to chose. WOuld they take LSU over Bama if we lose a close on the Bama much like they took UGA over Tennesse back in 2007?

It appears that the BCS is taking more control over their bowl games. They are forcing the Rose Bowl to take an at-large team if they qualify. Hopefully it will stop games like USC/Illinois like in 2007.

Here's my preference (putting aside bowl tie ins, BCS rules, etc - just who I would like to see). In rough order of preference:

USC
Texas
Iowa
Penn State
Virginia Tech
Cal
Miami

Reasoning? Just matchups that I think would be fresh. I don't have any strong desire to see us play teams like Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame or Georgia Tech again - been there, done that.

I know we've played Iowa and Texas in bowls fairly recently but it's been a litle while and we lost those games. I would think games against those teams would be interesting. And I know we've played Va Tech recently and pounded them pretty good but I always liked that team under Beamer and I think it could possibly make for a good game.
