That he knows how to conduct himself and doesn't need to throw hissy fits like a whiny bitch?

I've lost track of the number of times TV cameras have shown Jefferson pulling some pouty face on the sideline when Lee is on the field.

I really don't think this thread is necessary, but wouldn't this be included in his on field football performance?

You're missing the point. That video showed Jefferson upset with his lineman for holding(or whatever it may have been) now I dont remeber this game to a T but I thought they had been having trouble moving the ball this game. If that is the case Jefferson had every right to get upset..but at the same time I am not saying that he does not throw tantrums on the field because sometimes he does..but this time he had the right to.

Well no shite. I don't see why a couple of you decided to compare the action of yelling at a teammate to greatness. Those quarterbacks are great for other reasons, and earn the right to yell at their teammates because they are the unquestioned leaders of their respective teams. And they perform on an elite level compared to their peers.

I haven't seen that, but I guess you have

You are looking at it in the opposite way that I am. Why would me laughing at the concept of "great qbs" coming to your mind when you see JJ act like that make you think that Rivers sucks because he's doing it

Not comparing their play, just style, but the point is, there aren't really that many whiny QB's that are successful. At any level.

Ever hear of "praise publicly, criticize privately"? How about "those who live in glass houses"? Maybe all his teammates should have stood up and thrown up their hands those times he couldn't remember the play (looking at his wrist cheat sheet after already under center ). Or called a timeout or got a delay of game because he was confused. Or threw the ball into the dirt. Or air-mailed it. Or failed to see wide open receivers because they weren't his primary. Or backpedaled into a sack. Or...

It's not so much the on the field stuff that I worry about. If you see Brady or Manning bitching on the field that's one thing but JJ doesn't have their credibility. That's beside the point. If JLee plays a bad game he takes full responsibility and so would Manning or Brady. JJ will tell you how well he played. That's the difference. Taking responsibility for your own bad play and making no excuses. Then saying you need to play better.

To the brain dead Jefferson haters around here, if he is assertive, that's arrogant, if he's quiet, he isn't a strong leader.
Basically the kid could turn water into beer and those knuckle draggers would bitch.

No. Just because he doesnt have the demeanor of roger staubach has no bearing on how successful he is as a qb. People love when Saban or Pelini jump on a players case when they screw up. Why cant the starting QB?

Because he played like shite and up to that point, and had not acted like a leader.

This is the same guy who publicly asked the fans to be patient last season because he is still learning. Not quoting directly, because I don't remember word for word.

Is that the type of guy you think should be yelling at a player to get it together? Really? JJ is still learning, but it's completely unacceptable to him when someone else makes a mistake?

I've heard interviews of Lee saying "I" when it comes to improvement, and "we" when it comes to performing well. Seems to be very unselfish (maybe too unselfish)

Don't forget how PM said they had some issues with protection at the podium after their playoff loss to the Steelers 6 years ago

Wow.

Y'all are some sand in the vagina bitches. You whine like bitches. You post like bitches. Your vocabulary is the vocabulary of bitches.

None of your terms are apt descriptions.

Jefferson is a competitor. He shows his emotion.

Who has an agenda?!?! Some people are flat out scared that Jefferson might be coming back to bench their boy.

Lee doesn't need your propaganda, girls.

People are using this video as another reason to perpetuate their argument that he sucks as a qb and leader. You are doing that as well. I showed that there are other qbs who have had success as a qb and a leader doing the exact same thing. This video does nothing to disprove his ability as a qb or a leader. His teammates respect him. He has talent to be a good qb. He never put it all together consistently and unfortunately for him I doubt he will get to as a LSU qb. I dont understand why LSU fans continue to pile on the kid.

I kind of want to spend some time in New Orleans, and not at the Sugar Bowl. Or if he comes back sooner rather than later, the New Orleans Bowl.

To me, it's just laughable to defend JJ acting like that by saying that great quarterbacks do it. That's really all I was thinking.

I think JJ would have been improved this season, but I guess we'll never know.

Why don't you try having some of the same kind of class that you ascribe to Lee?
