What I dont get is what is the point of this? Lee is the starter. Im a JJ supporter all day but I support the Team over an individual player any day.

We riding with Lee right now so why cant we leave it that for now. JJ is fighting for his freedom and his future right now which is far more important than starting a football game or who is the better qb. Let the man be. Let BOTH men be.

Im not sitting here whining about Lee's play hoping JJ comes back. Like my sig states, "I just want LSU to win................PERIOD".

You're made because our QB got pissed that a first down called back?

He was the QB dickweed. You think he's supposed to give a lineman a hug for holding/negating a first down?

If you're going to knock Jefferson, find a decent reason. They are out there. This isn't one of them.

Please post less.

Here is the difference between Jefferson doing this and Peyton Manning/Philip Rivers doing it:

That game was one of the worst quarterbacked games in LSU history in the midst of one of the worst quarterbacked seasons in LSU history. There is suspicion that JJ is trying to find a scapegoat for his terrible play. Such suspicions are strengthened when you hear him tell the press he thinks he played satisfactory or well enough. It almost seems as if his message was "it looks like I'm playing bad but that's because when I get a stat padding/nice play, my O lineman holds"

On the other hand, Manning/Rivers have nothing to prove. To think they are trying to make themselves look better to hold off the fans cries for the backup would be silly. They are trying to win the game and probably being harder on themselves than they are on teammates. The video posted of Rivers supports this. He wasn't cheated of stats or a quality throw. He was upset because of a preventable miscue that effected the whole offense from executing.

To pout about his offensive line holding whilst giving 100% to try to protect him when his play is by far the biggest adjustment that could be made to the offense is a bad reflection of the team leader. Hence everyone giving Cutler shite. I don't get the feeling JJ is in the huddle saying "You guys keep blocking hard. I know how hard your working and my play is unacceptable. I'm going to step it up, you just keep doing what you are doing."

It's not so much the on the field stuff that I worry about. If you see Brady or Manning bitching on the field that's one thing but JJ doesn't have their credibility. That's beside the point. If JLee plays a bad game he takes full responsibility and so would Manning or Brady. JJ will tell you how well he played. That's the difference. Taking responsibility for your own bad play and making no excuses. Then saying you need to play better.

To the brain dead Jefferson haters around here, if he is assertive, that's arrogant, if he's quiet, he isn't a strong leader.
Basically the kid could turn water into beer and those knuckle draggers would bitch.

It's not a case of no matter what he does he is criticiized. I've never heard him say "I am not playing up to the level I need to play but I'm working hard to improve because I'm quarterbacking a team that is good enough to do special things." Lee admitted, in so many words, that he was the limited factor in 2008, but that he learned from it. Jefferson always thought he played well last year.

I'm doing everything I need to do every week in practice, every day in practice just to improve us. I would hope they would keep faith in me and still have (give me) . . . time to wait for me to help the offense."

This shite has to stop. This is way beyond old. The continued hate spit out from supposed LSU fans at an LSU player is just ridiculous.

I RA'd.

I doubt it does any good, but Chicken needs to end this crap... OP wants to talk about 'Classy'? Dude doesn't have a clue what the word means.

LOLZ what? Jefferson acted fine on that play... There's nothing wrong about getting upset when a play is taken back that was clearly a good play and first down because of unnecessary penalties
