Whit Weeks shouldn't play against OU unless he is REALLY healthy

The LSU game basically has little meaning for LSU. The team is bowl eligible and will not be ranked regardless of the outcome of the game. The new coach won't give a damn about the outcome of this game, and this won't affect the status of the current staff. IMO, Whit Weeks played in the WKU game to honor his brother's last game and also to get that photo and video of all 3 brothers playing side by side by side. I don't remember him making one single play, didn't play his normal position in the middle, and had an LSU T-shirt on by halftime I think.
Bottom line: Unless he is 100% healthy, play someone who is BETTER at 100% than he is under and not risk further injury. Either he comes back to LSU or goes to the NFL draft...either way, this game doesn't mean positive anything to his future. If he wants to win his last game at LSU, try to make it back for the bowl game.

Doesn't he have the same injury that Hilton had last year? That's incredibly painful.

Every time I've seen WW's injury listed and verbally stated it was "a bone bruise to the ankle". I know what a bruise is and the ankle is, but I had no idea a "bruise to the ankle" could literally keep you out from 5 weeks. That must be the modern equivalent of a turf toe or an oblique injury. Seems like those you never play again.

Well yeah. Chris Hilton was out for most of last year with a bone bruise. Its not like a skin bruise located around the ankle.
A bone bruise is an injury to a bone caused by a forceful impact that causes blood and fluid to build up and results in tiny cracks in the bone's fibers. It is extremely painful but it is worse if its on a leg, as you put weight on it constantly. If it was his arm, he could probably pad it and live with it.

it feels like you are insinuating that these are "fake injuries" but both of these are legit injuries. Turf toe is a sprained ligament in the big toe. The toe that you use the most for balance. Joey B's tore completely.
oblique injury mean muscle tear usually. Torn muscles are not for "fake injuries"

So many people think turf toe is a joke

He had a waking boot on after the game Saturday so I would be really surprised if he plays.

Did he run out with the seniors pre game?

Then you said:

Nope, I was NOT calling them fake injuries at all. I was simply stating that you hear a lot about knee injuries and biceps injuries and collarbone injuries that obviously end your season but I literally had not heard of a bone bruise until recently. Not calling it fake at all...but maybe they need to come up with a more serious name other than "bruise".
You or someone needs to come up with a term that is more descriptive than "bone bruise". That denotes IMO something less severe than apparently is the case. Thanks for the info...good job on your description.

TLDR, he is not going to play. He would if he could. Simple as that

You should have read the post and others. Frank Wilson said "LB Whit Weeks: Hopeful". So it is NOT as simple as that. You should have said "in your opinion" because Frank Wilson says otherwise.

I think the technical name is bone contusion. But contusion means bruise.
