We've already had "A" and then "B". So if we get the right kind of recruits, i chose A. But just because you sign a bunch of 4 and 5* wr, rbs, and dbs doesn't make it a good class. We have much bigger needs. Game manging qb, ol, dl, and most of all i think we need some linebackers. It's obvious that our top recruiting classes aren't living up to their billing. Now, why is that?

Thanks for some substance Simple. Personally, I don't think the laid back, player's pal coaching style works with today's kids. They need rules, structure, discipline and order. A task master who focuses on preparing them to win on the field and life by giving them the tools to do both.

Les Miles caused it to be, if in fact it is. You reap what you sow.

My job as a fan is to want what's best for the team. What's best for the team is having Les gone. Therefore since I want what's best for the University I want Les fired.

A. A 10-3 record this year with a win in Capital One, Cotton or Outback and ranked about #10-15 would be great. That's about where they started, although I hate the pre-season poll concept. They lost to two 11-0 teams and to Ole Miss, the #4 ranked team early on. Not a bad season. There is always a winner and a loser. The D is much improved over last year.

Whichever one fixes the program for the future. More SEC losses than wins in the last two seasons is just plain bad considering we were come off a NC season.

If we will be truly competing for SEC championships then I am fine with whatever option. If either is only a temporary fix and next year we'll be in the same position, then I choose whichever one brings the program back to elite status.

It doesn't matter where they were ranked at beginning season, they flopped this season, and we didn't beat anyone ranked.

Who's to say Miles doesn't run our program into the ground with similar numbers, seems as if it'd be much better to take a chance on a new coach, than watch this shite show Miles puts on the field week in and week out.

Wasn't defending or condemning Miles.
But what "QUALITY" coach would want to come here if we are ready to fire our current coach over an 8-5 and currently 8-3 program 2 years removed from a BCS Champ season. There are about 100 FBS programs out there that could only dream of having this problem.

The problem isn't the wasted time before the TO or the spike the ball, although the coach should be able to manage a clock better. We have lost all of our games this year because the OC's playbook is too confusing, especially for an inexperienced young QB.

I believe that the LSU Football program could sell itself and the recruiting wouldn't take as big of a hit,but you still have to be able to sell to get some of the big name recruits in here. Firing Miles won't solve the problem, replacing Crowton will.

This argument has been refuted and proven invalid many times on this very forum.

This argument has been discussed about 10 times already so if you want the long version you can search for it, but I'll give you the shirt version

Coaches have egos. Egos makes coaches think they can do better than other guys. Good coaches aren't scared of pressure. See Zook-Meyer transition.

This really isn't the issue. The issue is that our play calling is awful(The two are separate issue), the OLine play is awful, and we fail to take advantage of our talent.

JJ seems to understand the playbook he just hasn't been groomed well as a passer and because of the bizarre play calling he is often throwing the ball in situations that make it nigh impossible for him to succeed.

Why do we keep Miles around though? What does he do for $4 million a year?

You said yourself the program recruits itself.
Miles doesn't coach a position.
Miles doesn't really coordinate the O or D.
Miles doesn't manage the clock well.
Miles has often not gotten the team mentally focused before games(See Miss St. 09, Troy 08, Arky/Kentucky 07)
Miles doesn't have great track record with coach hirings. Everyone here hated Jimbo and we not hate Gary 0/2 on OCs. Pelini was good, but Malleveto more than washed that out. Jury is still out on Chavis.

Then I cooled down and came back to my fan reality and said A.
