Lee needs to play a lot this game IMO. If for no other reason than to get his confidence back. They need to let JJ throw more down field to hone in and sharpen those skills in game play. I don't think Met gets any snaps.

I agree with this. LSU needs to present JJ as ore of a downfield threat.

Jefferson had to win this game because he literally is Bama's weakness incarnate. Alabama's linebacker core was beating us in the power running game so we made them run after JJ and Ford. We had an advantage in this type of game. Jefferson only threw 10 passes. It's not like he came in and threw for 300 yards or something either. Jefferson and Lee combined had less than 100 yards passing and Jefferson and Lee were pretty close to even. So to say JJ is a better QB from this game alone is pretty irrational.
However, even if you think Jefferson is the better QB you should still think Lee should continue to start because our entire scheme is based around him(a pro style QB). With Jefferson(an option style QB) we have a limited playbook. period.

Both QBs were not very good. No need to change the starter.

Im sure this has been said but you start lee and let lee gun it...when you give JJ reps you let him throw too...We need to throw it early and often to get our QBs confidence again in their arm because bama is the only defense that can do that to us and we need to get them both ready for the last stretch...Props to our scheduler for getting WKU for the post bama week...We need it

JJ can handle the pressure of elite teams
Watched the game on TV and saw all the replays.
JJ was in the grasp of an Elephant defender and STILL managed to get the ball off to someone (don't remember who). He's not scared to get hit. I think Lee is.
JJ has improved since last year and none of you people who sniff JL's jock are willing to give him the chance to prove it. JJ may not have done much against Bama last night, but neither did Lee. Special teams and defense won that battle last night.

i know right, who in the hell thought we were gonna throw and rush for 200 yds each?...
Lee is the starter, it should stay that way...Mett actually needs reps for next year...
let lee throw that sucker and let our 3rd, 4th and 5th string RB's Run it...put ware and ford in a ice tub for the next two weeks to keep their legs fresh... I hope we score 28 in the first quarter and get to see all backups the next 3 qtrs...i wanna see some youngs guys...

Offense put special teams in position to kick field goals.
No...defense put offense in position to score touchdowns, they couldnt so sp team had to come in... (example: int to 5, and ot sack)

Lee will start....Jefferson will come in like he has in most games and play a couple of series. If the game becomes a blowout, expect to see Mettenberger.
Miles will NOT change anything he normally does for this game...and I don't get why people think he should. All this "let's air it out" crap isn't going to happen. We will run...run some more...pass when we can...and see what happens. WKU is not as horrible as everybody makes them out to be, and they are playing pretty well right now. I don't expect this to be a 5-6 touchdown win.

Lou Holtz may be going senile but he said before the game LSU's Special Teams and their option running game would be the thing that wins them the game. That is exactly what happened.
Towards the end of the game the announcers noted the way Alabama has lost its last 8 games has been primarily by the opponent throwing less than 20 passes and winning on the ground.
The option running game is Jefferson's strong point, not Lee's so it made sense for JJ to play more in the second half, because as many have said Lee's style of play and the playbook when he is in plays to Alabama's Defense's strengths.
Frankly, I'm surprised we didn't go to the option game sooner.

I saw that on ESPN a day or two before the game and just ignored it like I do with everything he says. I cant believe he nailed it
