What’s the usefulness of understanding the alleged crimes of Christian Dawkins(who has no connection to the ncaa) and their relationship to the ncaa?

So you made this comment without even reading what I linked. If you had read it you would see the entire case against Dawkins is 100% dependent on what they were doing being a NCAA violation. The applicable regulations, and why what Dawkins does, or anyone arranging compensation prohibited by the NCAA a fraud against the university involved, and a federal crime is clearly described.

Sorry,

LINK

Paragraph 3 and 4 will give you the jest of it, and starting with paragraph 23 will give a good description of the NCAA rules involved, most people seem to have never actually read them.

Ok, I read it. I’m sorry, but that’s a crock of shite by the feds

They are arguing that the schemers defrauded the universities because they hid the fact that players receiving money would be ineligible. That’s a hell of a stretch and seems like a cheap throw in charge.

Clearly the most serious charge is the shoe company execs funneling players to certain schools and Dawkins paying them in exchange for shoe contracts and the hiring of Dawkins as their agent

I agree, its a pretty far stretch, but that is the indictment I just post it as I find it.

Wade & his lawyers were going to meet with LSU.

Why do people keep pretending they couldn’t ?

Earlier you said this was a lie when asked about it.

Only report I’ve seen/heard was Wade was scheduled to meet with Alleva and King(just the three of them), and LSU cancelled that only to then request their attorneys, BOS and NCAA be present.

Once again you state “facts” with no true basis.

Yes he should say frick the FBI and meet with clown show.

What could possibly go wrong there?

One group can put him in the prison, the other group had their feeling hurt.

You do the math and stop acting like an asshat.

I dont recall a SEC team seeded #1 ever suspending a coach and player before the SEC tourney.

So there really has been a historically bad performance by the administration. Particularly because the source of the trouble was public knowledge before the season started.

I really think there was an epic failure by the university to do the work to prevent what happened from happening.

And I think the failure of the administration is going to be used against us for many seasons in recruiting. Thats bad, but its not a new problem. We have lost out on a lot because of the broken power structure of LSU Athletics for at least 40 years.

The thing that really is beginning to bother me now is this issue they are making about Wade not meeting with them.

In a couple years when people look back on what happened this season. the idea of suspending a coach because of insubordination is really going to look absurd.

The bottom line on the whole situation is whoever pushed the button to make the yahoo sports report happen a couple weeks ago really knew how to exploit all of LSUs internal problems. They are far more sophisticated than LSU sports administration has ever been.

Whoever released the Yahoo sports report two weeks ago stepped on Alleva, F. King, and the LSU BOD like a 5 year old kid stepping on a tiny little ant pile.

Once you get a job you will understand.
Just going to put this out there... in the off-chance the judge has stated to not discuss possible testimony, then Wade is within his rights to refuse to discuss. His boss may employ him, but doesn't trump the law of the land. And at that point, disciplining him for following such directives is abuse of authority, and very likely a violation of his contract on LSU's part.

Before you argue otherwise, explain why he wasn't fired outright the moment he refused to come in.

I wonder the things your boss made you do. Did you get reprimanded for not cooperating or were you all-in from the beginning?
lets not forget that Wade got called in by his boss because he’s ON TAPE TRYING TO BUY A PLAYER,

LSU faces massive NCAA penalties and must act quickly to try to minimize the damage. All caused by Wade.
