The only remaining SEC road trips I have left are Ole Miss, MS State, and Florida. Obviously, I will not be doing Florida this year.

Any suggestions on which one to pick this year?

Anything worthwhile to do in either place besides the game on Saturday? We may go up Thursday afternoon and try to get a full day on Friday, depending on if thre is anything interesting we can do.

I guess Oxford but only because the other choice is fricking Starkville.

Meh, both aren't that great but go to Ole Myth. Be prepared for large HS stadiums at both.

I go to both every time we play in MS...I would say that it depends on what you are looking for...both are in very small towns that pretty much are supported by the university, so if it is big city-type stuff that you are looking for, just save your money...

That said, I enjoy both trips for what they are and that is some good, solid SEC football on a Saturday afternoon...

Moo state is as laid back as it can be with a real family-type atmosphere on gameday...fairly easy to park and manuver around the stadium...fans are all perfectly friendly and cordial...campus is beautifully landscaped...stadium is a horseshoe and has the biggest damn jumbotron I have seen outside of jerryworld (which just pisses me off when I go back to the next home game and have to look at ours)...

ole mrs is a much more formal affair (completely overdone, IMO) with fans that are fairly well abrasive towards LSU, but that kind of thing doesn't bother me much...stadium is very nice and has an interesting modern design...the grove is a pretty cool premise, but is just too conjested for my liking...

both stadiums are small in comparison to LSU, which actually allows a very good view from anywhere...like most SEC schools, the women are fine as hell at both places...both towns have pretty cool areas/bars to hit, if that is your thing...

both towns have few hotels and LSU will be a premium game for them, so if you need recommendations on where to stay, just let me know...

ETA: if I have to pick one, I always enjoy the Ms State game more than Ole Mrs....

Only time I've been to Miss. State almost got lost in the woods.... go to Ole Myth. Women are better looking and it's alot more of a rivalry game. Still lots of hate both ways.

I've been to oxford for every game since like '05. I don't really know why I keep going back other than my family lives right outside of memphis so it gives me an excuse to visit them.

The tailgating is pretty tame compared to what we're used to but ze womenz are top notch

This is what we do...MSU is only fun if you know some locals and they know where to go.
