That’s true but also I’ve noticed he’s thrown 5 passes in the dirt and would’ve been 6 without Boutee going low low to get one.

no for the 1000 time....it is the oline that is the problem. Fix that and the entire team is 1000 times better.

We would be undefeated and ranked in the top 8.

Maybe 2-0.

The OL is bad. But maybe 5th year Brennan is better adjusting protection and j think a few throws were there in the UCLA game that could have won it if made.

Maybe still 1-1

Offense put up plenty enough points to win the Miss St and Missouri games.

LSU shouldn’t have had the worst defense in their history last year is all I can say.

Myles can make throws that Max just can’t man. And that is a fact.

And Myles was still averaging over 300 yds per game with this same horrid OL. Max is not…… Max has a deer in a headlight look and plays scared to death.

OL and running game would still be SWAC quality.

The same as it was last year when people where blaming everything on a record setting QB performance by MB.

Before Myles was hurt everyone was clamoring for Max saying he brought a different element to the offense with his mobility.

“Everybody”? More than half the posters on this board wanted, and expected, Brennan to be the QB. You could see that by looking at the voting patterns.

Can't fear the deep ball, when the qb wouldn't have time to throw a deep ball.

This is a common fan misunderstanding. The deep ball is the second fastest release behind quick slants and bubble screens.

How would a less mobile QB with no protection be better? Be very specific how the offense would be different.

Easy. UCLA came with big blitzes and left their secondary in deep zones so as not to give up the big play. LSU routinely had receivers uncovered off the line of scrimmage. Max was late to release the ball, and had little velocity. This resulted in the ball reaching the receiver 15 or 20 yards downfield just as the deep zone coverage arrived. A more experienced QB, with a bigger arm, could have gotten the ball to the receiver 7 or 8 yards off the line. This would have put the ball in the hands of our superior athletes with one man to beat for a big play.

I’d like our odds so much that I don’t think UCLA would have employed the same strategy. It would have been a completely different game, most likely with UCLA rushing three or four and playing dense zones.

I saw the same thing happening. Burrow was the master of hurting you when you blitzed him and Max doesn't yet have that skill.

I'm not sold on that. His (Max) running success were obviously called bootlegs. LSU had nothing to lose by running Max.
Myles stats reflected unexpected line failures. Myles HS stats were more than tripled Max's rushing yards ( Max less than 300 career yds vs Myles + 1,100). As far a toughness Myles last drive playing with a season ended injury and nearly pulling out a win when LSU should have even been in that position proves his grit.

According to the rant he sucks and Max is a Heisman candidate. But that was the off-season. Here we are two shut games in and Myles is better but the freshman back up is far superior to both after a quarter of moo up duty

Myles is no savior

He would have put that pass on the money to Palmer against UCLA! Also he wouldn't be holding the ball forever like Max!TD pass to Palmer would have been a game changer!

This myth..

Myles isn't less mobile than Max. In fact, he's much more adept at avoiding pressure.

It amazes me the misconception on this, just look to the first play by Nuss against McNeese, he threw approximately a 40 yard throw and wasn’t even touched. It’s about recognizing coverage and one on one outside coverage and putting the ball up immediately. Max just isn’t diagnosing, checking and making plays right now.
