I was at the game, so it was hard to just focus in on the line play. Is UT O-Line that good?

Me and my buddy at the game mentioned the same thing. Seems like we couldn’t get a pass rush on them

We rarely blitzed. Multiple third and tens and rushed the front four only m. Terrible scheme by Dave

dirty as chit, keep an ear out for a Lawrence update, he was met up top in the endzone, and the guy to his right dove into his right leg, wrapped it underneath him....

Well there was a lot of uncalled holding.
And It looked like the scheme was to contain Ehlinger to keep him from running and make him beat you with passing.

I think it was a combination of getting held and not rushing in order to contain Ehlinger

Lawrence is trying to hold off a pilsbury dough push with his cousin pilsbury low push on his leg.

bullshite. Let's not do this. So, I guess "We were held all game!" will be this week's, "The refs beat us!", even after a huge win on the road over a top 10 team. Good lord.

Texas had a great online and made it apparent early we would NOT pressure them with a 4 man rush. I guess our DC is ok with that.

I agree that we should have blitzed more, but blitzing a QB like Elhinger is very dangerous. If you miss, the middle is wide open for him to run. Look, Aranda’s game plan was solid. What really killed us was that long 19 play drive. That singular drive drained the defense. If that drive doesn’t happen, the defense makes the stretch. Give credit where it’s due. Ehlinger spear headed a fantastic drive and put our defense on its heels.

Yeah, when their LT was performing takedowns, you would think we could make that obvious enough to get a call sooner than the 4th Q

We stunted once and put Ehlinger on his back. I personally never saw another stunt

It was as if Stevens’ early offsides ended bringing anyone extra

You did not see it because it did not exist

The play that they called 2 holds there was also a third hold. The stunt was beautiful and I just don’t get why we didn’t see more. I hate seeing opposing qb sit in the pocket I don’t care how good your secondary is the wrs will get open. We have the dbs to be more aggressive with blitzing
