Most people try to look at it like it's the NFL where things stay somewhat the same year to year. In CFB, you lose key players every year to graduation and leaving early. The key is recruiting, and LSU has done one hell of a job at that.

Florida lost to Ole Miss last year. That in itself shows that Florida is not the unstoppable force they are believed to be. We are packed with talent. You are correct. Thank you for your optimism. It is refreshing to hear someone say we can do it. I work with a hardcore tiger fan like myself who rarely says anything good about our program. I think that we all like to talk about the program (which is why we are on here) and a loss or bad news leaves more to converse about.
I love LSU to a borderline creepy level and I love a good win. But "Man did you see that pass?" isn't good post material. Again thank you. Really

I hope this is the only reason, but I fear it is not. There really does seem to be a strong sentiment among many on this board that it is somehow "cooler" not to show support or optimism because optimism makes you a "homer" (as if that's a bad thing?). There are a lot of people on this board that love to mock optimistic views an "unrealistic," while espousing their own equally unrealistic negative views and calling them "objectivity." What they seem to miss is that if you make a fan (or "homer") pick and are wrong, then you are simply a fan hoping for the best for their team. But if you make such a huge deal out of "not wearing P&G glasses" or "not drinking the Kool-ade" or "not being a homer," and just make "rational" and "objective" picks, then when you are wrong it can only be because you are ignorant and do not know anything about football. I mean, seriously; if you're going to be wrong, isn't it a lot more credible to be wrong because you were hoping for the best for your team than to be wrong because you simply don't know enough about football to figure out that LSU could beat Florida?

Half of you fans just plain out suck. i would never wanna party with the majority of you. you know pessimism doesnt make you smarter. It just makes you pessimistic. Try and balance it out. ive never been more proud of and ashamed of some of our fans. Good god are you so scared of losing that you cant expect greatness?? Id rather be smart and passionate and possibly get disapointed than be smart and anal and be anyone else---i don the p ang g glasses b4 i over critcize my team i dont need to feel that just in case they fail i could say i was right.
