Seems like they were no shows last time we played them. They were a laid back bunch in Seattle. Real different from SEC fans.

Whole different breed. I know quite a few Husky fans and only one has actually acknowledged who they were playing this week. It's a very casual experience before gameday compared to the average LSU/SEC fan

We went to the Oakland/Seahawk preseason game the Thursday before the game in 2009 and I got asked several times what "LSU" is and why are there so many of yall here. They were oblivious to UW playing

Yeah, I have informed several local husky fans they have a game against LSU this week. Apparently they had no idea.

Sup. Do you want us to come out a-flaming thinking we're going to win? Husky fans are a proud loyal bunch, but it's been a long decade for us.

Dawgman.com (the scout board) is the board to hit up. We're one of the few in the Pac-12 who allow a higher level of trolling in the non-premium boards, so it's pretty high traffic and you'll see a lot of Oregon and WSU posters there... lots of smart Husky fans too though.

I lived in New Orleans for a spell after undergrad and I'm very excited to be making the trip with 6 other Huskies this weekend. There will be a decent showing (several thousand) of Husky fans making the trip. Any tailgating suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Y'all will have a good time. Do a search on TD for previous tailgating threads, there's lots of good advice -- But basically
1) Smile when you're Tigerbaited
2) Say "Boy, that smells good, what is it" -- And you'll get to the game well fed and well hosted.

I wasn't planning on packing short shorts.

Trust me - I'm well aware we're bait. The mediocre showing vs. SDSU + early injuries makes it pretty clear we're set up for another 7 or 8 win campaign at best.

Just looking for a fun time and excited to finally tailgate in BR. If we can cover the spread it'll be gravy.

You don't have to pack. They will take care of the packing.

Seattle is a weird place like that. The general, average person just isn't that into following sports - they're doing other things. UW football has tens of thousands of diehard fans, but the entire state isn't all into it the way most of LA supports LSU. WSU has a real fanbase in the state and people who didn't go to college here don't necessarily immediately jump onboard. Being mediocre-to-lousy for a decade hasn't helped. The rise of the Mariners, then Seahawks, then Seattle Sounders one after another has given the bandwagon people who want one sport to pretend to care about something to do as well.

We're not all passive fans. The UW faithful are strong and represent well. But we don't bring it in the manner ya'all do.
