Kids weren't necessarily lining up to go to Baylor. His first year was '08. He had 2 4-8 seasons (2nd 4-8 season was partially due to RGIII being injured for the conference games.) His first successful year was a 7-5 season in '10. Again, kids still weren't beating each other up to attend Baylor. Noone outside of Texas knew who he was, and Baylor still had a bad rep for losing. Now after 5 consecutive winning seasons and national recognition (thanks to his success in the Big 12 and a big bowl appearance) It's starting to pick up. Kids are starting to notice Baylor. Now if we could land a coach like Briles here at LSU, all would be well. :)

Ok, seems like the consensus is coaching...guess that makes me bring up my mantra lately....EVERYTHING rises or falls on leadership!

Briles at someplace like lsu has got to be against the rules. We would not ever lose. Franklin at the ole pen state is pushing it as is.

Im curious why did you start your review of TCU in the 60's?
Why is 10 years of review too few?

I see what you mean.. lol Looking at teams like Oregon, TCU, Baylor and where they stand today does make you wonder what would happen if one of these coaches were at a big time program.
