Moisture Delatte coldn't carry Beau Didier's jock. First ever at bat home run, then retires for the season to get surgery like a fricking boss.

Great family. Played with his older brother 1 year at HHS.

I'm a Hahnville boy myself. Quinn his older brother was great athlete as well. Think he went to Arkansas for a year or 2 then Nichols St on a football scholarship as a kicker.

When we beat the brakes off UCLA (a talent loaded team btw) in the 2000 supers, Guidry recorded the final out and i remember his fist pump celebration...that dude was jacked up and FIRED up. He was expected to be a wheeler and dealer the next year or two, but got hurt right?

Yea he was on 2001 squad too but don't think he pitched much if any and that was his final year he was done. Trying to remember if it was TJ or shoulder that shut him down.
But you are right he was fun to watch and intimidating how fired up and pumped he would get up on the mound. Fun times

Of all the guys I've read today, it is strange that no
one has mentioned Joe Adcock, Alvin Dark, Ben McDonald, and a couple of others. If I didn't have senior moments, I could come up with others. You guys have to understand that baseball was played at LSU long before Skip came along. There were some pretty good players, who later went to the big leagues.

Do you really really think that Alvin Dark was better than Cedric Harris?

Pretty sure you are missing the point of this thread...
Buzzy Haydel ftw. Last homerun in the old box. That's gotta be worth more than MLB HOF right?

Somewhere between Zeph Zinsman and Bruce Sprowl

That is correct. Quinn was a freshman my senior year and he saw time. Quite the athlete. Weylin was just so damn big and strong, built more like Mr Rudy.

I'll send a text to Bruce as well.
Zinsman was a frickup, though. Sprowl at least played out his career here.
