LSU’s offense goes on a 4min 9 play TD drive the 3rd series of the game…

What’s the defense do to follow? Give up a 10 play 5 min drive with 2 3rd and long conversions.

What’s the excuse here?

This is a huge part of the problem. You also have to watch other teams defenses against some of these running QB’s. There are some pretty good teams getting gashed by these guys now.

Why do ppl keep thinking our defensive roster won’t be as strong ? This defense has loads of young talent. Perkins will finally be gone im sorry but he makes the defense worse. Pickett will be in year 2, woodland and McKinley will be in year 3, Mathis will be in year 2, the talented freshmen LB class will finally have a bigger role , good chance Cooley returns at safety and spears will be ready for a full time starting role. The defense will have a lot of talent again we’ve recruited well on that side of the ball . Loaded d-line class coming in assuming we can hold onto it

I don’t think that’s correct. Maybe. But not likely.

Yeah everyone, except LSU, has a Mobil QB.

What we are skipping over here is how much that D cost. Expensive and soft get you shown the door.

Really nice, likable guy and he will find a job.

Baker and defense need an offense that can sustain drives to keep them off the field more often, all the loses were partly because defense was worn down because offense could sustain drives

I imagine new coach keeps Baker.

Don’t see why he wouldn’t, BB is highly regarded as one of the top DC’s in the nation.

You probably also want to keep him and the whole defensive staff to hold on to all the young talent they’ve brought in.

we all keep saying he cant scheme against a running QB....hes a smart DC....he knows what to do...its not rocket science. I think the players just cant execute the plan. They take bad angles...they over run the QB.... They dont have discipline to stay in the area on the field they need to. I dont blame him..he has the players he has and they just might be overrated or too self absorbed.

Prime example of this from the previous game, Perk was supposed to be QB spy on Reed in I think the 3rd quarter, he turned towards the receivers and allowed an easy TD not even paying attention to the QB.

Honestly Perk can be a great situational pass rusher, but I don’t see him doing much beyond that.

Confused on the sideline when a running QB is involved.
