I’ve been to most all of the big ones, but because of our history with Bama at home, and the way it ended last night, I have it right there just above the 2007 Florida game and the 2003 Georgia game. That was so damn sweet to put the dagger in Bama’s playoff chances and put us in great shape for the SEC West. Thoughts?

Yes, best game in tiger stadium I've ever seen. Most dramatic for sure.

I mean straight off the jump with the pick in the endzone, to back and forth and back and forth to thinking no way Bama doesn't win because they always had won these in the past, to the fumble controversy, to the tipped pass controversy, to Jayden answering each time hope looked loss, to having the brass iron steel rhinocerus sized balls that Kelly has to go for 2, to even fricking Mason Taylor catching the ball and juuuuusssstttt squeezing it in the pylon to win 32-31 to beat the class of college football that's ripped our heart out for a decade now.

No way in hell any other game tops what happened last night in tiger stadium.

It was the best IMO. It literally had everything you look for in an entertaining LSU football game!

up there with the 1959 Ole Miss - Cannon punt return....

But this was a better overall game......the only bad plays in this one were the Referees' calls

Top 5 for sure. 1997 Florida probably still #1, but top 5 for sure. Probably top 3.

This is why everyone has this one so high.

Everyone and I mean everyone on this board at some point in the 4th said “here we go again”.

But not this time. Geaux Tigers!

‘97 Florida was a great game and one of my fondest Tiger Stadium memories because I attended with my brother who has since passed away.

But

2022 Alabama tops it for several reasons.

While Florida was No 1, they were not Ala-F’ing-Bama. The history of the rivalry makes this a much bigger game.

Spurrier was a douche and the boss of the SEC back then, but he was no Saban. Again, with the history of Saban at LSU, 6 National tittles etc 2022 was a bigger deal. Was it the end of an era? Maybe so.

The game itself was better. More entertaining. Back and forth lead changes, last years Heisman Trophy winner against our freshmen, the refs repeatedly trying to take it away from us and the 2 point conversion in overtime were so over the top as to be almost unbelievable!

More drama, better story lines, better game.
Nothing else comes close!

Best game I’ve ever been to.

I haven’t been to every big game ever, so I can’t say if it was the best ever.

I was at the 1972 Bert Jones to Brad Davis last second 17-16 win over Ole Miss. I was at the earthquake game against Auburn. This beats them both. Two days later my ears are still ringing…

How 2001 Auburn never makes these lists I’ll never know.

Last game of the year. Winner goes to Atlanta. We rush the field, goal posts come down. Band stays and parties in the stands defying instructions to leave. It was like a 2 hour party.

“Best games” is a fun discussion, because it depends on so many factors: team record, rivalry, personalities, controversies, season on the line, your personal perspective. My list, limited to games I’ve actually attended, in no particular order except #1 :

1. 1979 USC – best sports experience and atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed. You had to be there.
- 2022 Alabama – no surprise there.
- 1997 Florida – beat Spurrier & # 1 Gators. Very close in volume to this past Saturday.
- 1982 Florida State – oranges in the fog.
- 1977 Rice – really? A 77-0 blowout? Yes – my first game in Tiger Stadium as a student.
- 1979 Alabama – 3-0 loss in the rain, but a great slugfest.
- 2019 a&m – Burreaux and the beatdown
- 1967 Mississippi State – don’t remember anything about the game itself, but as an 8-year-old’s first time ever in Tiger Stadium, I still vividly remember the overwhelming sensation of stepping through the portal into the bowl and seeing that crowd. It’s why I still feel privileged whenever I can walk in now, regardless of the record or opponent.

Others that should be on THE list, although I didn’t attend:
- Halloween 1959
- Ole Miss 1970 & 72
- Notre Dame 1971
- Georgia 2003
- Florida 2007
- Your favorite

It's definitely up there. For me it is as follows

1. 03 Georgia
2. 07 Florida
3. 00 Tennessee
4. 19 Florida
5. 22 Bama (taking the place of 11 Auburn)

And the bad blood with Tubby.

Probably just overshadowed by the SECCG and Sugar Bowl.
