I guess this is a quiet week from the negatigers since we won the series. Will check back next week.

That happens every year because most people don’t really understand baseball. It doesn’t matter how well coached you are entire teams can go through slumps. It happens in the MLB all the damn time. Some of the best hitters to ever step on a baseball field had 10-20 game stretches where it looked like they couldn’t hit a damn beachball if they threw it up there. Baseball is so damn touchy. All teams lose a series or a game to someone they shouldn’t on paper every single year.
LSU is notorious for starting seasons off exactly how they started this one and everyone wants to fire Paul. That is until they turn it on for the last 3/4’s of the season and then they just go away. These are the same people that wanted him fired after the first series of the season they were runner up in the College World Series, and then wanted him fired again 10 games into the next season lol. I don’t know why anyone would be surprised by someone posting he should be fired. It happens at the first of every season.

Just wait until we lose another mid-week game. They will be back calling for his head.

CPM should be fired. He has totally lost it. LSU will finish last in the west, and miss the post season. CPM is DONE. He doesn't even care anymore. He has forgotten everything he knows about baseball. Dunn is out there hurting every pitcher we have. CPM is making dumb decision after dumb decision. Who loses to McNeese in baseball? We all know that in baseball you should never go in a slump, or lose to an inferior opponent, especially when these games mean so much.

Thanks for posting and calling out that "fan".... "fans" who don't want coaches, even if they win the title, sadly remind me of the intelligence levels of our fan base.

If someone really said this then they aren’t a fan of LSU. They are a fan of being right and they have said that Paul sucks and would not be able to take being proven wrong.

They make these absolute declarations such as “LSU will never win another CWS with Paul Mainieri as coach”. I find it good practice to shy away from such absolute claims, especially when dealing in matters in which you have NO control.

It’s the same reason that a lot of people on here hated Kramer until he left. He proved so many people wrong that gave up on him after his first two years some never came around on him.

Yep. You see the same with Hughes/Hess, although Hughes hasn't turned the corner yet. Some people want to hate them and jump them every chance they get. I was the same way with Reid, but I can admit I was wrong.

This thread is as ill-conceived as the Fire PM threads after a series loss.

It's not just two dumbass. First, it was 2, ON THE ROAD, AGAINST A HIGHLY RANKED TEAM. That isn't something that just any team can do. We played like the team we thought they could be.
Second, we are currently 6-3 in SEC play. Given the schedule so far, that's about as good as could be expected.

What point are you attempting to make?

We are in a 3 way tie for #2 in the west with 7 SEC series left to play

That's why I was trying to get the purpose of his post.
Idk if he was just showing us the standings.
Idk if he was pointing out we are on Pace to go 20-10.
Idk if he was trying to point out we aren't in first in the west (most likely purpose of his post).
Honestly, I don't know if the winner or the west finishes with 20 wins. I can see UGA or Vandy doing it on the other side, with the other being close. That has more to do with the eaat division. The west is loaded and will beat up each other a good bit. 19-11 might win the West, and LSU has as good a shot as any to do that. Arkansas, Auburn are very good and aTm and Ole Miss are no push overs.
