...give up a field goal with the game onthe line, throw an interception on your next drive, and lose by nine, it wasn't because of one bad call by the officials. That isn't how math and football work.

We just got beat by just Alabama. Take it like men.

i can't blame the refs too much. We didn't have an answer for Ingram, and Lee wasn't going to lead us to victory without a consistent ground game.

However, the refs took that opportunity from us with the (non)interception call.

Man you are bad at Math.......The score was 15-21 and Bama was intercepted......we didn't have the opportunity to win the game!

Nobody is saying Bama didn't play great or deserve to win, we just were stripped of an opportunity too........

You can say what you want. I agree, the whole of the game is the sum of all the parts. However, that Int was a huge blown call. LSU very well may still have lost but if that is called correctly then LSU has the ball in great field position with momentum and a fighting chance to win.

No, sir, I am not.

Yes, we did. Instead, we allowed Bama to convert on a 3rd and 7, and we ran into the kicker on a punt on the same exact drive. Two really bad errors on LSU's part gave Alabama a field goal try.

The bad call by the officials neither awarded nor took away points to or from either team.

One bad call on a non-scoring play is NEVER worth nine points.

The coaching was worse than the officiating on that drive. The blitz was effective all night, and you don't blitz on 3rd and 7? And of course they convert. The playcalling yesterday was, for the most part, really good, but that was a horrible defensive play call imho.

Dude, 1 bad error by an official gave Bama a FG try.........you are negating the fact that we did make a play(an INT) that wasn't called.

Our defense made the play to give us the ball back to win. You can't deny this.

Sure Bama converted on 3rd and 7, hard for a defense to reasume an intensity after what had transpired the play before.

You are blaming coaching........which is chickenshit.

I understand your point and there's no way of knowing if LSU could drive down the field and score.

But you can't take away the fact that the refs took that chance away. Instead, they gave them the ball back and let Alabama put the game out of reach.

I'm not blaming the refs for the whole game, you can't. Alabama just made one or two more plays than LSU did, but that ONE chance was blatantly stolen from LSU.

You go down and score a TD and you're up one. Could the defense hold? Maybe. Could the offense even score given the chance? Maybe.

We'll never know because the refs stole that chance and handed it to Alabama.

I don't like Crowon play calling

We have too much talent

Which maybe the problem, maybe we are trying to do too much with too many players and too many formations?

Factually incorrect. The bad call gave them a try at 3rd and 7. That is not a field goal. The field goal game four plays later after LSU allowed Bama to get into field goal range with the game on the line.

Right. And the next time LSU was on offense, LSU threw an interception three plays in. If you want to play make-believe, fine. But the reality is that LSU had plenty of opportunities to win the game, and they didn't. You and others imagine that the officials took away LSU's only opportunity for victory; they took away one of many...LSU took away the others.

Game on the line, and you can't tighten up? Not buying this one at all.

I'm blaming the fact that Alabama is better than LSU this year. LSU wasn't good enough to win this game this year. shite happens.

So you are positive we would not have got points had we had the ball with 5 and 1/2 minutes at the 37?

The game could have easily been different.

But, we didn't help our case most of the night with dumbass penalties, etc.

I don't either and I really think he needs to go. I don't say that as one of these fools on the rant who's always saying so and so needs to be fired, etc. But my biggest beef with him is that he doesn't put the talent we have on the field at any given time in the best position to succeed. He doesnt' manage Jefferson well and run an offense suited to his strengths and I think that is indicative of a coach who really has no plan and there's really no method or progression to what he's trying to do with the offense.

True.

False. LSU let Alabama put the game out of reach. The officials did not award points to Bama that they did not score.

We got away with an obvious block in the back on a 3rd down conversion on our touchdown drive. Did the refs give us points then?

See here is where you start playing make believe and becoming a douche!

quote:

LSU wasn't good enough to win this game this year

So intercepting the ball and having and opportunity to close the game at 15-21 wasn't good enough?

You really are trying to play Mr. Toughguy like Bama was this big bad elephant.

Sure LSU had opportunties to win despite the call but there are so many intangables that go in the INT call that you are negating. LIKE MOMENTUM and a self belief that you can win.

When that call didn't go our way the game was all but over........YES there was a 3rd and 7 after the blown call, and YES Bama converted on it, but they shouldn't have had the opportunity to have a 3rd and 7.......

I think Bama is a good football team, but I don't think they were better than us. A lot factored into Bama taking the lead, like injurys to JJ and CS and Cramps to PP....

Call a spade a spade.

Every single subject on this board is not an 'all or nothing proposition'. The refs PLAYED A PART IN THE LOSS. It doesn't have to be the SOLE reason, but is a reason. Poor play and execution, combined with injuries, also contributed.

The game was NOT LOST BY COACHING. Refs did contribute to the LOSS. How hard is that to comprehend?

I disagree. Please tell me how the coaches were NOT the reason.
