I get that you would like a few changes here and there, but the comparison to Oregon was about has bad a comparison you could make

I've always thought Bama should put the "A" on their helmets instead of numbers. Never been a fan of numbers on the helmets.

The numbers on the helmets are pretty much the only thing that make Bama's uniforms memorable.

Put the "A" on the helmet and they'll be indistinguishable from Oklahoma.

Sometimes in writing hyperbole is used for effect, so your comparison has no value ...

Funny thing is if you ask anyone that doesn't have a particular football team they root for, the majority will tell you Oregon has the coolest uniforms. I think most are bad, but they have some good ones too.

Their all black and highlight yellow ones like the ones they wore against us in 2011 were

I dont want to be like Oregon, but i do agree with the OP to some extent. I want to keep the traditional aspects of our unis, but the uniform has grown somewhat stale. Notihng wrong with tweaking a few things to freshen it up.

Also, an alternative uni once a year would be very cool.

I like being the only team to look like we look

That's the great thing, even if it's a secondary consideration, it's likely a primary consideration for the athletic department. Even a 2 second clip in the open for a football show, or SportsCenter and it's evident just who that team is.

Same applies for Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Texas, USC, it takes one second and you know who it is.

Because of tradition. That's what makes college football so great, tradition, unlike the NFL which basically has none. Schools like LSU, Alabama and Penn State have loads of tradition and it would be a shame for them to change. Schools such as Oregon basically don't have a lot of tradition either so if they want to look like a bunch of robots and space men I guess that's up to them. We don't need it.
