Not a laughing matter. If we beat Miami, we will immediately be considered a very good team. Could be 11 or 12 ranking but its not laughable to think we would be top 10.

I think most believe we have a really good team now, but just arent quite sold on O and of course the offense. But a good showing against a top 10 team would erase the doubts. IMO

I am not big on coach O but I am excited to see what we can do this year, insane schedule that we haven’t seems since 2011, but then again our defense could be just as good as 2011

Where do people come up with this?

the schedule has always been tough with the exception of last year.

And according to certain posters, because LSU is facing 5 teams wth 1st year head coaches, those are already Ws. Throw in the 4 noncon games and O is already to 9 wins.

So basically, as long as he beats auburn bama or UGA he’s practically going to be gifted a 10 win season.

I think We’ll be ranked in the teen

And early season is probably the easiest time to ride.

If Burrow looks lights out, if the defense is suffocating and the offense moves the ball we could easily make a big jump.

So we played 4 preseason top 10 teams that year, and 5 preseason top 15?

Lsu will open around 17 or 18 most likely. You think they only move up 2-3 spots with an arse kicking over a top 10 team?

You are correct Sammy, but look at your down voted. That's how many people do not want to see lsu ranked highly. Negative trolls. All it is

I’ll do a ban bet with you that LSU isn’t ranked in the top 10 come week 2, no matter the outcome of any games.

A lot of people actually have a negative outlook on the program.

And really we need something positive to happen out on the field to get that to change.

If we go out there and drum Miami I think People well lighten up a bit.

If we beat them handily in the top 10. Just win a close one, same ranking that is only if the other top 10 teams win. If their are other upsets in the top 10 then maybe we jump in.

That's a bold statement, cotton!

Have Preseason polls come out?

LSU will most likely be ranked 20-25, if at all. Beating Miami will not move them to top 10! Majority of teams in top 20 would have to lose. If they are ranked 18-20, win over Miami moves them to 12-14 at best.

Listen I think Everyone agreed LSU is talented and the defense is great.

The offense is a huge ?

If it looks like a freight train we will make a huge leap.

I think LSU will just switch places with Miami. So whatever their rank is.

LSU will crack into the top ten after rolling Auburn in a convincing manner.

Having a huge ? on offense with new OC will have LSU ranked 20-25, that's just being realistic. Will have to see when polls come out. LSU has been ranked 12-14 last few years, more questions about this team, that why I say 20-25. They could boat race Miami and not crack top 10. Teams don't jump from that far being in 18-25 range. They would have to be 15th or better to crack top 10 with a win. Plus other top 15 teams would have to lose.

rankings are completely irrelevant. Polls are a relic from the past.

All that matters is to win the West and get to Atlanta, to give us a shot at the playoffs.
