If we beat them by enough we’ll jump into the top 10. For sure

Not only are we taking or a top 10 team and a big name, but we will have a show down with a highly ranked Auburn team they will want to promote.

We will probably drop in the rankings as the pundits proclaim that Miami "is not what we thought" and some high ranking teams destroy smaller schools.

Depends on how we win. If offense makes serious strides I could see us at 5th, 6th, or 7th. If we win purely because of suffocating defense, 9th or 10th.

I am not big on coach O but I am excited to see what we can do this year, insane schedule that we haven’t seems since 2011, but then again our defense could be just as good as 2011.

So you honk a top 20 team demolishing a top 10 team won’t move the needle?

And your so sure of this it’s laughable?

The media benefits from premier matchups, and get a top 10 match up in September is a blessing.

We will be top 10 just to promote the Auburn game.

Nah, I’ll say 13/14.

Miami may not even be ranked top 10 when the actual rankings come out. Probably between 9-12.

If LSU is ranked around 20, a win there won’t be enough to get top 10.

Follow that up with a win @Auburn though and we could be looking close to top 5.

2014 was easily tougher than this year, just based on the crazy SEC lineup that year.

And that Wisconsin team was AT LEAST as good as this Miami team.

What makes you think our ranking will matter? Win and we are in. Plain and simple. Focus on the small things and the big things will take care of themselves.

Rankings, especially early season rankings, are arbitrary and do not matter at all. We just need to keep winning and the rest will take care of itself.

I hope it barely moves the needle. I want them to feel overlooked. I don’t care if we don’t win by a huge margin but I want to see us physically control them.

It doesn’t matter where LSU is ranked in week 2.

Just guess I’d say something like 18-22 range.
Beating Auburn away a couple weeks later might jump us up to about 12-14.
I don’t know shite, but ranked teams lose every week and not every player stays healthy.
