That's a pretty important part of it and five years is a long time.
To some teams it is all they have. Luckily defensive and other parts of the offense are stellar.
Would you trade a really good QB for average to below average development elsewhere?
Basically score 55 points a game, but lose when you play a good defense with a shitty offense?

What I would like to see is a team that plays to the best of their ability in all aspects of the game on a consistent basis. I don't think we come anywhere close to that standard now. I understand that in college football, you will win games and lose others. My point is that this program has been lacking consistency for quite some time and nothing is being done to address that.

Where are they lacking consistency?
Defense isn't number 1 every year? Oline isn't stacked with round 1 seniors every year? Don't have a award winning WR every year? Get some perspective

Last night.
Some of you are must be some miserable SOB's.
I mean, if you couldn't enjoy the 2007 and 2011 seasons, I don't know what to tell you.
I think the difference is:
Some of us enjoy the highs, suffer through the lows, of LSU football and then go on with life.
Some of you look at LSU football to make up for the shortcomings in your own lives, and that's why you're miserable after a loss.
And no. I don't think I'm above anyone. We all have shortcomings in our lives.
I just don't use LSU football to make up for the setbacks that life hands out.
Put sports entertainment in its proper place.
You'll be a lot happier.

Do you want a game by game analysis. For instance last night. QB play was dreadful. WR play with dropped passes. Discipline with the PF penalty which cost the game.
The UF game, Special Teams nearly lost that game.
Auburn, everything!
My point is that there are constant breakdowns going on in games. I see this as a major issue with this program that is not being addressed. Miles usually does a good job of fixing the leaks from game to game but, as fast as he fixes one, another one opens up somewhere else. It seems endless.

Good to know we won a national title in 2006! I guess I forgot about that one.

I'm talking about the state of the program, not my personal life, which by the way is just fine.
Don't make threads personal.

I enjoy a strong running game when it works but this offense is excruciating to watch

It was a reference to not enjoying LSU since 2007, the last title year.
frick that we went undefeated in 2011.

So you telling me you didn't enjoy the greatest regular season in college football history??? 2011.....thanks for showing your ignorance. Seriously thanks

Nothe same guy dropping the ball over and over and over is hard to watch. Get it straight

You probably are serious and that's scary. So in your little fantasy world at some point a football team, if well coached, should become perfect and never make any mistakes?

I enjoyed it last when I went to LSU during the Hallman era. That was some outstanding football! Now the past 15 years have been horrible, 10 win seasons, bowl games sec titles national titles, great games in tiger stadium...= Frustrating Football!! no more internet - LINK #done #jerryseinfield

When was the last time you enjoyed LSU football?
I've always enjoyed it - first game in Tiger Stadium was Ole Miss in 1970.
And the past 15 years has been the golden age of LSU football.
Do I like Miles? No.
Do I think he's a "great man" like you read on this site so often? Of course not.
Do I believe his commitment to "dual threat" QBs? No, QB play has, overall, been poor during his tenure.
Do I believe his run first and always philosophy can win in today's game? No, not against teams that have as much talent as LSU.
Do I believe he's in the same league as Saban? Please...
Do I believe he'll get LSU to another championship game? No. Lightning had to strike the same spot ten times back in 2007 to get his team in the NC game. But when he got there, he did win it, so there's that.
But with all that I don't like about Miles, LSU is a consistent Top-25 program and they play in the toughest conference in the country. Great players playing in big games. It's fun.

Let's see,... when did you start posting on this board? That's probably when.

Such high standards you have.

I read the rant and this is consistent.

WR play with dropped passes.
Consistent for the last 10 years in losses. Passes aren't dropped in wins.

Discipline with the PF penalty which cost the game.

Didn't a FG win it? Along with the most consistent kicker we have seen in a while. But, I guess we are concentrating on the kick out of bounds as the rule not the exception

Can't argue there. It was an horrendous game

bullshite, I have read the rant all moning and one thing I have learned is Miles can't coach and hasn't fixed a problem this year.
