1999, the same year I married a Mississippi State grad and the first game I attended with her family in Starkville. I wanted to slit my wrists.

Funny you should see it that way. Till this day my wife still tells people she knew the marriage would stick because we survived the drive from Starkville to Gulfport. But God that was a bad night.

I still don't consider the 99 game an LSU loss. If there was instant replay in that game, we win.

Back in the dark days of LSU football, there were two wins we could count on every year: Tulane and MSU.

1999. I was there with my Miss State alum wife and in-laws. Lost in the last seconds of the game by a questionable TD. I though the RB knee was down on the 1 with no time left.

Correct. The RB on the MSU touchdown clearly bounced into the endzone from a yard out.
