When was the last time a Players Only Meeting worked?

Orgeron says LSU held players-only meeting ahead of Florida
Remember last year, when we were sitting at 3-3, coming off of 2 losses to ranked opponents? Somehow we beat #20 UF & ended Dan Mullen.

I agree that it won't make players more talented and it won't improve the overall scheme but if it is communication and trust issues like we are being told, a players only meeting could alleviate that.

Florida had one before the LSU game in 2003 and handed LSU their only loss of the season.

“Worked” is subjective.
Daniels could take more risks on Sat, but if they dont work out for us most fans would say the meeting didnt work.
But if the point of the meeting was just Daniels telling the WR to be ready, admit openly weakness in his play to this point of the season, and promise to take more risks… and he does.. then the meeting did what it was intended for.
The meeting didnt change how much the guys want to win.

Better stated, what makes you think a players-only meeting will change how Daniels has played QB for four seasons?
He may force a few balls he wouldn't have otherwise, but I don't see the passing game getting better with him under center.

We aren't always aware of these meetings. My guess there are a lot that actually worked.
