I couldn't be a coach that could handle some of the silly and non game questions some of these reporters ask the coaches.

It seems here recently it has got bad especially from the young reporters. You can tell Coach Jay is trying not to go off at them. They make Leah Vann look like Dan Rather

Would you prefer they ask more "how good does it feel to have such an experienced player starting for you?" questions?

That will never happen. Nor should it.

Remember when they would let that geezer ask Miles a question at every Monday presser?

Was it during those crazy 2011 Monday pressers where he was talking about schlonging Erin Andrews?

I will say it was odd to have three separate reporters ask Angel the exact same question about Poa three times in a row.

Bro. You can tell they are emotional and worried. She answered that already. Move on to your next question.

It was cringy as all get out.

yea, because censoring or shutting down criticism or opposing viewpoints is such a healthy idea.

(and yes, I realize this is just sports, but still).

Stupid questions are not “opposing viewpoints.”

who gets to decide if a question is "stupid?"

See my point? A stupid question to you might be an intelligent question to me - and vice versa.

The solution is simple: let people ask what they want and let the coaches answer.

Female reporters are more likely to ask the “how did that make you feel?” questions, it’s how they’re wired. Male reporters would ask the coach to explain the thought process on why you called that play, etc.
For guys it’s less about the emotion and more about the strategy.

You are talking about “censoring or shutting down criticism or opposing viewpoints.” Do you know what an opposing viewpoint even is?

Asking someone the same exact question about how the “feel” about something isn’t an opposing viewpoint.

I’m not for the athletic department taking canned questions, but I am for the coaches answering stupid questions with stupid answers.

i’m fine with that too.

I just don’t want someone in the administration to have the power to decide what’s a stupid question or not. That’s far too subjective.

Let reporters question and let coaches respond. And if a coach wants to blast a reporter for their question, that’s fine with me.

Just don’t muzzle reporters.

Can't wait til after this game and Koki ask Coach Jay about how bad the offense is.
The north wind has eliminated atleast 5 homeruns today.
