re: When it’s comes to football LSU makes the coach not the other way around!

That may have been true for Les Miles, but it certainly wasn't true for Nick Saban and it certainly is not true for Ed O.

Several of his early championships at Alabama were old school before he himself changed with the times. That being said he wasn't modern at LSU. He won at LSU old school style which is what Miles continued before NCAA football became what you see today.
You missed the whole point. The point was, if he doesn’t come to LSU and lay the foundation, we don’t have the success that we’ve had up to this point. I’m not referring to offensive styles.

I would say it’s usually reciprocal.

I wouldn't say that orgeron is still down the path that saban laid. Hell, he beat saban and bama during one of their strongest points there with their one of their best teams they've had there. He earned it and built it himself.

Saban had nothing to do with that 2019 championship, except to be our bitch in Tuscaloosa.
If you want to talk about being someone's bitch, Alabama has outscored us by 100 in the past 6 meetings. That's an average margin of victory of 16.7 points per game. We've scored 89 -- meaning we averaged a bit less than 15 ppg. They've essentially beaten us 31 or 32 to 15 for the past 6 years. 46 of our 89 points came in one game. So for those other 5 games we couldn't even average a touchdown and a field goal.
To add some context, our cumulative margin of victory over Ole Miss the past 6 years is 66. Our cumulative margin of victory over Arkansas is 80. Alabama owns our arse much harder than we own the bottom dwellers in our division like Ole Miss and Arky. That is sad.

It was not assumed that LSU was elite until he arrived.
LSU was far from elite before Saban.
