How in the hell is lsu in this predicament where brandon harris is our best qb and he is horrible?

What if miles doesn't know who the best quarterback on his rosters have been?

In 2011 if Jefferson isn't suspended, though we still likely win all those games, maybe they would have looked more like 2010 and early ark, first half UGA, and entire Bama part 2 of 2011.
We were balanced and efficient offensively the first 9 games of that season, pulling away and blowing out teams like AU, UF, UT, the kind of games miles led LSU teams usually let hang around way too long.
Not to mention actually putting away OOC teams like Oregon and WVU in 2011 with our offense, unlike having to rely on late stops against the UNC/WestVirginia's of years prior and since (besides 2013)

Since Jimbo's QBs have left (post 2007) we've had 2 years with solid/efficient offensive play.

2013 with Mett-Hill-OBJ-Landry

2011 when miles' "starter" was suspended.
-As soon as his starter returned we went right back to the "wtf" offense we've had under miles 7.5 of those 9 years since 07.

You see, this is the problem i have with miles and how it all really comes back on him. How in the hell is lsu in this predicament where brandon harris is our best qb and he is horrible? Hell, we do not even have 1 servicable qb on the whole damn team! How does this keep happening year in and year out at a program like lsu? It's a joke and miles has yet to address this glaring thorn in our side for so long. Then, he puts all of his effort into signing franks last year and lets shea patterson get away and sign with our rival, ole miss. Well, franks tells lsu to kiss his arse and he goes to florida so we have to then settle for lindsay scott. Once we get the guys suited up in the purple and gold, no matter how highly touted they are, they never improve, they continue to look like high school qbs with an elite team surrounding them. The qb position is and has been a huge problem for miles and his staff and I don't see it getting solved anytime soon.

You've made this way too complicated bro. You made the "chicken and egg" argument. Which comes first? There are serviceable QBs on the roster, including Harris. Frank's, Patterson, and anybody else here, would have similar struggles. Defenses are catching up with the old ground and pound. I call it "Republican Ball". LOL Simple as that. Change is hard. But change gonna come.

If there is a legitimate chance he's your best option to win games this year you do it now. If he turns out to the best option you got him needed experience against jax st, if he's not you get to find out against jax st and not an SEC opponent.

That said I have no idea if he is possibly this teams best option at QB.

In today's college football you have to win now. You can't worry about keeping him eligible for the 2020 season.

Didn't miles burn a redshirt on a DB late in a bowl game one year anyway?
^ now that I would consider unnecessary

When he's shaking like a leaf in a hurricane, see Harris on our 2nd possession of the game.

It's too late to worry about pulling the qb. We all know Miles with t do it. It's time to pull miles however and hopefully it won't be too late to do that.

To take your political reference one step further, Tiger fans been promised Hope and Change from LM for a number of years which turned out to be a load of crap, so now it's time to make LSU great again with a new leader. This just should have happened last season.

It's time to pull the QB when the coach believes in his scheme 100% but his QB has failed repeatedly to perform and run that scheme with effectiveness, when he has other options at the position and when he faces a point at which if improvement does not occur victory cannot be achieved.

Miles has backed himself into a corner....if it't the scheme than its on him and Cam 100%, if it isn't than he needs to make a change. Not that I think a change will do anything, but he has left no options.

It's not Miles' job to develop the qb. We pay a whole other a-hole to do that. However, Miles is ultimately responsible for evaluating the progress of the team and I agree that that falls on him.

After 3rd drive of missed opportunities. If he's not settled down by third drive and thinking clearly, then time to go.

I think every week needs to be a QB evaluation. Not just a "hey, you're the starter regardless." But miles sank his chances by pulling the QB that was winning for a lesser talent. He's not changing BH for Etling. Wont happen. Which is why we'll lose more games this season. BH will have to turn over the ball a lot in one game to get yanked.
