Joe Dean hired him. That's all we need to know. I wouldn't hold Curley 100% responsible. Dean hired him.

This has become a red herring, as virtually no one on here or anywhere else has suggested they want him to fail.

Thinking he was objectively an abysmal hire and that he ultimately will fail is not, at all, the same thing as hoping he does.

I LOVE being right, but I LOOOOOOOVE LSU Football far more. I'm never going to wish ill of the LSU Football program to win an argument.

There are plenty of things about which we can disagree...why continue to put words in people's mouths and try and tar them with this accusation?

The horror stories out of the football office on Hallman are enough to make any wonder why he was not fired much earlier in his stay at LSU.

I said on the radio at the time of the Hallman hire LSU was on a downhill ride.

Westego but Joe saved us so much money on the Hallman and DiNardo hires and cost LSU millions on those two hire.

I will say this DiNardo was a coach, Hallman had other actives.

So, you go around all day worrying or wondering how many of your husband's previous boyfriends screwed him in the arse? What in the hell does Coach Orgeron's record at Ole Miss have to do with his time at LSU?

In a normal world it ought to have eliminated him from consideration form being a candidate to replace Les Miles as the head coach at LSU...should it not?

What difference does it make? He is the coach now, so why worry if he should have been eliminated or not? Look, I understand what you are saying, but Jesus Christ, you guys need to move on and let's see what he does

We don't really have a choice, do we?

When he is repeating many of the same things he did in the past (after saying he had changed), I think it should be fair game for discussion.

We are stuck with Oeux!

We are stuck with Jeaux!

Joe Dean was cheap and hired bad coaches but he did not squander LSU's money. Jeaux hires bad coaches and spends money like there is NO TOMORROW!!

I have faith the BOS, the new ones, will figure out our dilemma and will fix it in the near future. I reiterate Joe Dean may have been out-of-step with the times but he did love LSU. Can this be said of the
"Duke-Douchecanoe?"

Curly's resume was on the backs of Brett Favre and the OC Jeff Bower. Nobody had any idea of Favre's greatness and Bower were the reasons for the great success and Hallman was merely at the right place at the right time and received far more credit that he deserved

Curley Hallman was by far the worst coach in LSU history. See below in his last season he had LSU kick off to start both halves!

Going into Hallman's last year LSU was getting ready to kick off to A&M in the opening game of the year at Tiger Stadium. I had seats on the
West Side on the 25 yard line. Before I could get to my seat fans were booing and calling Hallman a dumbass. I sat down and asked a guy sitting in front of me what the fans were booing and screaming about. He said that A&M had won the toss. As A&M was lining up to receive the Kickoff I asked "so what's the problem?" The guy told me "A&M defered & Hallman elected to Kickoff so now LSU gets to kick off both halves". A&M had a good return and scored on the opening drive. The guy in front of me kept saying "Hallman is so bad that he didn't even wait until the season started to screw up".

Once the hire is made... I repeat ...ONCE THE HIRE IS MADE... do you really give a rat's arse what the coach's record is at any school other than LSU? Let that sink in..

Didn’t seem like he was grinning, but I sure as hell would’ve been if if I was circling tiger stadium in a private jet.
