I expect people on this board to want to adopt the "wild hog" Mcfadden/Jones/Hillis offense with Magee playing QB and running the spread option with Hill and Fournette after the first game when we see AJ come out and have a similar game as the bowl game and we realize Les is going to make us play like the 2009 and 2010 seasons with JJ

1000 yard rusher as a Sophomore

6-800 yard rusher in 2014

assuming Hill gets the bulk of the carries

No LSU RB will win a heisman with Miles' RB by committee philosophy. RBs have to rack up insane numbers to make it to NY. And even then it's probably not enough to beat out a QB these days.

If Hill played the first 2 games this year he would have had Heisman numbers.

I think it really depends on what Hill decides to do.

If Hill stays I could see him having a similar impact as 2011 Hilliard.

If Hill goes, I could see him having a 2010 Knile Davis type of year. Start slow the first month with limited touches, and then just explode down the stretch.

I put pretty much the same question on the recruiting board because in my lifetime (47 years old), I've never been more fired up over a recruit.

I think that w/the following:

1. New QB
2. New receivers
3. Defensive line that isn't deep w/tested guys (ie, Miles would love to run the ball/hold on to it more)
4. O line being a team strength
5. The (hopeful) return of Jeremy Hill,

we'll see

1. An offense that runs 60/70 percent of the time.
2. A bruising rushing attack that's absolutely relentless.

I think Miles likes this kind of ball anyway, so what you'll see is a combo of Hill/Fournette carrying the ball 40 times a game. I think each will gain close to 1,000 yards, with the one that emerges as the more consistent "every down" back getting in the 1,200 range.

I'd suspect Fournette would catch 15-20 passes next year.

I think the offense will be an efficient, yard eating machine. Think back to 97. That's what offense will look like.

I expect LF7 to be a freshman starter and winning a Heisman before declaring for the NFL. This kid has so much hype around him. I hope he can take the pressure.

I think Hill staying is the best thing that could have happened for LF and LSU as a team.
Easy transition and let Hill shine his last year while LF comes along.

I know everyone loves high flying spread offenses and what not, but I get no greater satisfaction than when we hang 40+ on someone while also systematically making them physically fricking quit

Bing. Freakin. O.

Not sure if y'all will remember this otherwise pretty nondescript drive, but it was during the Saban years, in Baton Rouge, against Mississippi State. I'm pretty sure that it was the same game that some defensive player got one of the stupidest unsportsmanlike penalties in the history of the sport, and Saban goes off on one of his epic tirades.

Anyway, LSU's lollygagging arse around, screwing up, dropping passes, just kind of going through the motions basically, and then, right before the end of the first half, LSU gets the ball back with about 6 or so minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Saban apparently tells Jimbo (or whoever it was at the time) to do nothing but run between the tackles......this was post tirade.

The drive that ensued was one of those drives that just stated "look here fellas, y'all don't belong on the same field as us, we've been dicking off for the past quarter and a half, but this is what you've got to look forward to in the second half."

LSU commences to run it absolutely down State's throat, about 6 yards at a clip. I don't even think we pulled a guard. I'm talking straight dive plays, no finesse, just make their asses quit football.

We score, and go on to beat them pretty badly IIRC.

THAT's what I think LSU's offense will look like if Hill comes back, doesn't kick anyone's arse this summer, get caught getting his wanker sucked by someone too young to be sucking wankers, and Fournette does indeed sign.

And it will be like the sun rising in the east, over some cypress and tupelo trees, on a beautiful late fall morning, with mallard quacking above the decoys.

Routine. Something that happens often. Nothing particularly special about it. But just simply beautiful every time you see it.

This looks plausible. Those are similar numbers to freshman Yeldon and Junior Lacy at bama and if I were Miles and Fournette is as advertised then I would try to use those two in the same capacity Lacy and Yeldon were used a year ago. Both exceeding 1K rushing is very doable

think LF and his crew will be delighted to share carries as a freshman. I have heard talk that they don't want to waste a ton of tread in college. It was part of his recruitment to have limited touches. If you watched his HS games he only carried it 15-20 times a game. They know the future is brighter with fresh healthy legs......
