The vast majority of the time he has to find open receivers downfield who are under 6’ tall. Until at least one of Hilton, Nick Anderson, or another 6’2” or taller receiver start playing productively, it’s going to be a struggle.

You obviously have no interest in discussing anything, you just have some personal axe to grind from 4+ years ago and you haven’t said one honest thing in this thread. What you’ll do is start shite then play victim like in this thread because that’s what people like you do. Youre basically a Kunt

Against Florida Hester mentioned that Florida was mostly in a 2-high safety defense to take away the deep balls. The ways to beat it are with running, play action and short passing. The OL is struggling to get any push on running plays, so running and play action are out. That leaves short passes. Take away a blue chip freak of a TE, and that's going to hurt your short passing game.

It all starts with running the ball - which LSU is struggling to do. A successful running game would pull those safeties closer to the line, make play action a viable threat, and allow the OC to open up the play book.

Say like that old man, we gotta run the ball.

That's what it seems like to me, anyway.

I’m literally just busting your balls because you’ve blindly defended Nuss for 4 years now

We agree on McMahom for sure

Your M/TV board posts are a little too much for me typically though

I’d argue that characterization but ok. Problem is if you’re going to apply that standard universally nobody can discuss the actual football because your opinion would be invalid as well.

If LSU's offense was being coached by Josh Heupel, then they would look like world beaters and Nuss would be the Heisman front-runner.

Instead, they're being coached by Joe Sloan and well... they suck.

If LSU hired seventy-three-years-old Hal Mumme and demoted Sloan, then there would be legitimate hope of turning the offense around.

Hal Mumme straight off the street would coach circles around Joe Sloan.

It’s got to be that because vs Clemson we looked crisp, besides expected procedure penalties. We had the right intent and energy and the calls looked more connected meaning one led to another etc. La. Tech and Florida were slop fests, no energy, calls looked vanilla and very conservative.

If that’s the case we need to be in heavy sets more to pound the ball. This trying to force the run when your formation can’t block the box isn’t gonna cut it.

Hos heisman odds are tanking

Essentially the Heisman is off the table, so he should get back to just playing football and giving the Tigers a chance to win each week.
