I saw a Clemson lineman flash in and hit the pile. I think Weeks made the play and his reinforcements lost the race to the pile.

West Weeks is more athletic than he's given credit for. He is like a College 4 star' LBer.
LSU fans are spoiled with College 5 stars Perkins & Whit Weeks that are freaks of the industry! Possibly the Best 1 - 2 Punch at LBer in the Nation.
West Weeks goes a bigger 6'-2" 235 ; Devohn Keys just 5"11" 225; so might be 1/2 step quicker; smaller he's supposed to be.

I don't know about that. It's impossible to be sure since we have no idea what the scheme, assignments and responsibilities were on that play, but generally the better move is to maintain outside contain and force the play back inside where (usually) your help is coming from.
But West did way better than any of us could have, and I'm pretty comfortable that he most likely did better than anyone else on the team would have or Baker wouldn't have been starting him. As pointed out earlier, Klubnik is a playmaker, and sometimes they just make plays.

I hate that shite. I can't believe people aren't getting seriously injured with that "Bush push" bullshite. You are literally incentivizing 250+ pound freaks to crash as fast and as hard as they possibly can into a pile of bodies already straining against each other. Just begging to get somebody killed.
And it's chickenshit, not football. If it's not the HUNH crap trying to turn the sport into basketball, it's this bullshite trying to turn it into rugby.
