What’s the word on Jake Brown?

Minimal. Milam coming back doesn’t really have anything to do with Jake Brown.

Jake is going to get a signing bonus well ahead of anything Milam was going to get, so with no leverage next year if he comes back, it is extremely unlikely that Brown comes back. Better chance of getting Curiel back, though that chance might be small. Curiel would at least still have leverage, and as I said in a post a couple of weeks ago, maybe this season left a sour enough taste in his mouth that he doesn't want to go out like that.

I'm certainly not counting on it, though. He's going to get offered a lot of money.

I can't see him coming back. He'll be a reasonably high draft pick. That's why Jay had the ceremonial "pinch hit" the last game of the season. He knows he's gone.
