We're offered him a scholarship and he accepted.

Les saw him playing backyard football one day. He said "hey this guy has a want". Nick saban was also there and pushed him down and called him names. Les thought that was mean and offered him on the spot. Tyrann has held a grudge ever since.

He attended an LSU camp and impressed the hell out of someone. Was not really recruited by other big SEC schools....I think this helps him play with a chip on his shoulder

late offer, got looked over by tennessee and alabama. pretty sure he got bumpd up to a 4 star when lsu offered him. obviously, a lot of teams were hesitant because of his size, and obviously that paid dividends for lsu

I read that TM7 was jumping up and down pounding his hands on the ground in a attempt to get the LSU coaches to notice him and give him a scholly

read it on NOLA.com or something early in the season when the Honeybadger stuff took off

pretty sure Wilson and TM7 confirmed it in that way

"take notice of me, Im right here" was the quote I think

My co-worker taught at St. Aug. Said the Honey Badger used to sleep in his World Geography class. Hope the HB gets enough rest to let it all loose on Jan.9th.

A coach or someone involved with his HS contacted once of our asst. coaches and told him he needed to check him out, which he did and was very impressed.

I think the Buzz started from a camp at Tenn. I first saw clips of him covering Jarvis Landry at that camp. The Rivals clan was there and they said he was 4 star material. He then went to the LSU camp, and impressed, and thats what I remember.

according to the game cast UT and Bama each had him in a camp and did not offer...
