What's the status of Vietmeier?

He pitched in the first few games but hasn't been seen since.'

He made the trip to Nashville. LSU used very few pitchers there, so many reserves didn't see the field. He pitched in the Mizzou game that LSU got rocked in. I think only faced two batters.

The early season results we got from him (when he was throwing really well) are not typical of guys in the first year back from the surgery he had. Before the season I said that anything we get from him this year will kind of be bonus.
Hopefully they can find ways to keep working him in this season. He will be pitching in the Great Lakes League this summer for the Lima Locos. Hopefully there he can round back into form and have a big sophomore campaign.

Vietmeier had some great outings for us so far except after groin. I like him and we’ll need him.

With class coming in, room will have to be made like every year.
