Bama has 5 heading to nfl and now 10 in the portal. This is happening everywhere.

LSU is paying the price of a terrible football culture built by players coaches and a totally new regime coming in which is the opposite of what many of these guys are used to.

Those are basically my B and C choices, but I’m clueless.

No chest and weed is apparently super important compared to free school, room & board, and an opportunity to make millions

It’s a pretty obvious answer. I don’t know what any of y’all expect with back to back terrible seasons, the entire football admin ripped down to the studs, literally cleaning house of even clerical admins but some of y’all are still shocked these same players that played .500 ball are leaving
This is a rebuild.

You’re the dumbass who titled this thread as of there were just 1 “REAL” reason this is happening, when clearly, it is several and not at all unique to LSU.

You can scroll through the threads and find this question asked dozens of times. So, unless this is your first time on this board, I’m not sure what more your expecting to get. .

Kelly is instituting a massive culture change and some don’t want to be part of the new culture. They prefer the old way of zero accountability

The NCAA has made it easy for kids to avoid having to compete for a spot in the lineup. If they don’t win it at practice and on the field or if more competition is coming, they leave. Way too easy.

Yeah, but not for long. The guys who are fringy/second stringers - and some starters - aren't always getting offers. Just look at the large number of kids that don't sign somewhere else still in the portal. Their original school doesn't have to offer them their scholly back. Ooops, now who's gonna pay for his education? I just think that's going to have a role in the slowdown in the portal movement sooner than later.

Almost every University is having the same problem. The grass looks greener, but ask Manny Netherly, God bless him, he entered the Magical Mystery Tour Portal and never even received an offer. The portal, in many instances, is nothing but fool's gold.
