Is he preparing fans for an injured etling to come out and brennen in? Or is it mandated? Just curious.

He has loose lips sometimes. Except when the player is absolutely out, then he just says questionable.

He played well though, except for the awful throw to Moreau which wasn't caused by a back injury

Is no one else concerned that we don't have a QB on the roster good enough to beat out an INJURED Danny Etling

This board was pissed when he didn't disclose absences like Herron early in the year. He is trying to be transparent.

Also yes, if Etling goes out, he wants people to know he is ready to put Brennan in, and won't be doing so haphazardly.

Good thing the other QBs are freshman and have the potential to get better. Relax.

This. He gets a question and he just answers it...unless he absolute doesn't want to. He not particularly media savvy enough to dance around the answer

did I watch a different game than you guys? Etling played quite well against Arky. Yes, he missed a couple throws, but made a lot of really good ones. Had a couple drops - including a perfectly thrown TD that was dropped.

Perfect, no? All-SEC - no. But definitely above average and he gets us yards with his feet, too. And he's a tough kid.

no need to dance around the truth. Coaches give injury updates all the time. It's not giving any advantage to any upcoming opponents. Hell, Etling was "hurt" but played the entire Arky game, and played quite well.

Too many people overthink football.
