The Florida game in 03 was depressing for a while...that team was sky high and it looked like everything had come crashing down.

The Iowa game in 04 and the TN game in 05 was where I was in disbelief of what I had just witnessed.

Arkansas last year was more than just depressing. I was heartbroken. I remember just sitting in my seat staring at the field for about 10 minutes before I finally got up in left. It was way too long (5 hours?) and draining to watch also.

My body suffered greatly while Joe Dean was the AD. I blame him for the entire mess that was the 90's. What a dumbass. So damn cheap and thought if we could just go 7-4 that would be a great year. My blood boils every time I think of him.

He did hire Saban

"I recall the whipping (44-3 I think?) from Miami in Tiger Stadium in a total deluge. A horrible experience. I was physically and emotionally miserable."

+1 I remember that game the next day the news paper said "Hurricane roll though Baton Rouge"

Damn that game was awful, that fricker Jimmy just ran the score up. The Peach Bowl made me feel better since

The Tenn. game after Katrina was by far my worst. I remember talking about having to leave if it got any worse. Arkansas was pretty bad last year.

The most depressing AT THE TIME was definitely the Katrina Tennessee game.

I admit, I was thinking after that one we had a dud in Les Miles.

In retrospect long term, it would be the bad losses of the Hallman era.

If the 2005 Tenn game, shaped as it was by 2 of the most devastating hurricanes in the history of the U.S., was your most disappointing game then you are a young poster. You missed:

Getting killed by Miami in a down pour in 1998 (44-3) at the end of a championship season. I had a buddy who turned to me as we were going in to score and said "Time for a fumble." We fumbled on the next play.

Losing to Fla 58-3

Losing to AU on 5 interceptions when their offense scored 3 points (1994)

Losing to Ole Miss in 1997 the week after knocking off the top team in the country

Losing to UAB in 2001 I think (I was in the UAB student section for that one, imagine that)

The 1986 Miami of Ohio loss

Hell, with the exception of stopping the Alabama 31 game win streak in 1992, the years 1989 to 1994 (I was lucky enough to have been a student in those years).

The win in Tuscaloosa was in 1993. I was lucky enough to be a student then as well. I remember getting blown out 38-0 to Ole Miss in Jackson, MS. Tennessee and Texas A&M blew us out at home. We lost to Colorado State for homecoming game (you know, the one you should win easily).

People talk about how depressing it is now to lose by 3 points in triple OT, but a lot of them have no idea what it was like to be an LSU fan during the late 80's to mid 90's. There were no bandwagoners and the LSU fans that did show up were apathetic at best. A truly miserable time to be an LSU fan. Which is why I laugh at the negatigers that bitch now when LSU loses 3 or 4 games and doesn't win the SEC or National Title.

Amen!!! My wife and I were at the game. She has a serious gallbladder attack and has to go to the hospital by ambulance at half time. No worries.. we are up by 21, beatin the blue tick hound dogshit out of them right? We are in the ER and Dr walks in, sees us in our Tiger garb and says.."Wow..too bad about LSU." We were like what? He says" they lost in OT" Needless to say, wife wasn't the only one in severe pain

Basketball - the loss to Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 was tough since that team was poised for the final four and faced the worst possible matchup possible
also .. all of the Indiana losses hurt but the one in Ohio in 87 .. we had a nice lead and missed out on b2b Final Fours... or maybe the Shaq/CJ loss to Ga. Tech in the SW16 sucked hard

Football - Miami drubbing us in 88 was painful for sure ...

Dale Brown called the '81 Final Four loss "the most bitter of my career", and I sure as hell second that.

Yeah, quite possibly, the '87 Indiana regional final was the most depressing or heartbreaking, with the Final Four being in New Orleans.

The gigantic turd John Brady laid in Boise for the UAB game was also quite depressing...not to mention that it took place at a venue named "Taco Bell Arena"...
