I hope Brennan comes back full strength and competes for the job, but this should teach Orgeron a valuable lesson about clearing the depth chart to make a guy feel comfortable. Nothing is guaranteed, including health. Get the best room you can and make them earn it.

Uh fricking what? The frick does this even mean?

It was on an "Off the Bench" interview, about a week ago. Orgeron said football classroom would stat in two weeks. When asked about Brennan, he said Dr's have not cleared him to practice yet. "He needed to talk to "Jack" and hoped for some good news".

Not a very reassuring statement from O. It makes it seem like O doesn't expect him back. "Hoping" for good news usually means you expect bad news.

Against shite defenses in shootout games

Ole Miss was I believe the 126th ranked pass defense and UF was the 100th ranked. Max played shite defenses. And I believe he’ll be a starter after Myles leaves

The only real positive is that we have two Soph QBs with real game experience. Both should be ready after a full Spring and Fall practice. They both know what to expect and their weaknesses so they can work all Summer..

Lol, against the 2nd, 3rd, and 8th best SEC defenses.

LINK

Try again, dude. That link is to offensive stats. Vandy, Missouri and Mississippi State were the 2nd, 3rd and 8th worst offenses in the SEC.

Defensively, those teams ranked 4th, 8th & 12th.

I honestly want it to get anchored. I agree with you. I asked a simple question and not shite was answered.

That's right.... most threads get hijacked by the in-fighting, arguing...

"I'm right". "No, I'm right and you're an idiot if you think that"

Rinse. Repeat.

I like Brennan, but I think Max is the best QB going forward. His ability to perform under very difficult circumstances showed he doesn't get easily rattled and the rest of the offensive players seemed to feed off his calm confidence.

1-2 As a starter

Not a good red zone percentage 55 %
For the year 79% with all 3 QB's
MISS ST 1 touchdown 3 trips in red zone
Vandy 2 touchdowns 4 trips in red zone
Missouri 3 touchdowns 4 trips in red zone

Very bad 3rd down conversation 23 %
For the year 50% with all 3 QB's
Miss ST 5 0f 17
Vandy 4 of 12
Missouri 0 of 10

Did not have a good pocket presence

Has a great arm and when not under pressure completes passes and not mobile

Brennan has earned the “incumbent” role. He’s done nothing wrong and didn’t do anything to lose the starting role.

TJ is as physically gifted a QB as we’ve seen since Jamarcus Russell. The intangibles may come, but they may not.

Max has moxie that reminds me of Joe Burrow......from one start. There’s more to see there, but there’s a “gamer” quality about him.

There’s a new OC so that changes everything. Brennan loses that edge from being in the system. We’ll see what happens, but I expect good things from whichever QB starts. Iron sharpens iron and this is a true battle for the position.

max has that attitude/swag with the killer attitude. And he established some nice chemistry with our returning receivers

I saw a positive difference in team chemistry with Max.

Unfortunately nothing of that nature was evident with TJ. I saw no evidence of “one team, one heartbeat” with him. I truly believe self promotion is his priority.

LSU would dodge some serious locker room issues next season if he leaves.

How do you figure? He was here in 2019 when the offense was installed. He ran the same plays as Burrow.
We hire Peetz to run that system. It makes sense to me that Brennan would have a bigger advantage.
