I was at the UF game in '97. I was five but I truly remember the chaos at end of the game, my big brother running on the field, and the goal posts coming down. I was scared shitless. Haven't missed a game since.

Remember Bert Jones and Andy Hamilton beating Notre Dame in early 70's. Hysterical fans.

This may not be the greatest ever, but certainly one of the most thrilling. It was the first game I ever saw in person at Tiger Stadium in 1970. LSU trimmed Auburn, led by Heisman winner Pat Sullivan, 21-20, thanks to a blocked extra point & a blocked field goal. I believe Mike Anderson (blocked PAT) was named National Player of the Week and Bill Thomason (who blocked the field goal earlier) was named SEC player of the week.

UF almost came back, but Jesse Palmer was picked off (again) to end the game.

Florida QB was Doug Johnson.

IMO best game ever was UGA 2003... that was the game when we became "elite".

1997 against Florida. My first LSU game ever attended. I was young

2003 Georgia was probably my all time favorite. The atmosphere and tailgating was bar none the best ever and we all know how the game ended and shot us up to play for the NC

2007 Virginia Tech

2007 Florida. Probably the loudest I've ever heard Tiger Stadium

The national championships have to be put up there to but I've attended all the games mentioned

That game was a war! After that game neither team was the same. This game is a perfect example why Boise St doesn't even deserve to be in the MNC picture.

USC 1979

What is sad is I am afraid there will never be a crowd this awesome with the sorry arse fan base we have now. That night was off the charts. FLA 97 is close but no cigar.

I've quoted this here on the rant before, but I always remember waking up, heartbroken, the Sunday morning after the LSU loss to USC in 1979, but then laughing my arse off when I read USC running back Charles White's summation of the game in the "Morning Advocate"...

"I've never had that many people, yelling that long, that loud, and at me!"

Here's Charles White's Wiki page, for you younger guy's who might be interested in his talent... LINK

'79 So Cal

I was 15 sitting in the North End Zone with my Dad and Little Brother...That game stands out more than any other. The whole game was like something out of a dream. Every soul in the stadium was spent at the end of that game. When it was over, it was obvious to everyone there that they had seen something special.

I'm only 26. The best games that I went to were:

03 UGA - My ears hurt the next day
04 OSU - The rain delay was the best gameday experience I ever had
08 Troy - I had almost a whole section to myself

Best game ever though, I would say 2001 SECCG or 2003 BCS

I have the 1969 program from that LSU vs. Auburn game. I was there and it was a great game, but the 1979 LSU vs. USC was the best game of all time, even though we lost. I enjoyed the 1988 Auburn game, the 1997 Florida game and both National Championship games.

LSU@ Mississippi- '03
UGA@LSU- '03

Despite being losses, the LSU@ Auburn games in '04 & '06 were incredibly physical & intense.

NO DOUBT LSU VS USC 1979 and I should know I have seen practically all games mentioned here. Then maybe LSU Georgia 03 in Tiger Stadium.

If I could ask God for one thing outside of seeing my loved ones in paradise with GOD, it woudl be for GOD to allow me to experience this game again as a 17 year old. To this day, no other game compares, I have seen FLA 97, Georgia 03, 03 NC, etc, etc,,,,,NOTHING COMPARES, NOTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!
