I’m pretty sure he already knows he’s gone as late as after aTm.

As late as A&M? Might be gone this week

Doesn’t matter as long as he goes.

I believe it’ll be after season so will be entertaining to watch either way

I think he’ll still be here for the 2022 season.

Why would he walk away with anything less than the full buyout?
You're clearly not paying attention.

As is your right. I think you are immensely disconnected from reality.

He ain’t gonna do all that. He will get a majority of his buyout and be gone that’s it. He still loves LSU. He’s just in over his head right now

I believe Scott Woodward will fire him for cause by throwing the title 9 allegations at him. So that instead of Ed O walking away with his $17 million dollar buy out, Woodward will get it reduced to around $8 million dollars

He will sign legal papers that prohibit him from doing this or he will forfeit the buyout; he will not get the full buyout.

And he knows enough to completely bury LSU if they choose to do that. Coach O had the upper hand with the buyout, not LSU

Oh ok Ed or Derek or whoever you are. He has ALREADY admitted to guilt. It doesn’t work that way. If he did and wants to work again NOBODY not NFL, College, media, would ever hire him. His life would be over and he might as well go jump in that fishing hole himself.

He is done. I’ll say it again, 7 MM is what he will get over a 5 year period. No annuity on the life insurance. He is done. He will be happy with that because it’ll be enough to have everything he needs u til he dies. Everything else he has is paid off. He could even possibly get state retirement insurance from what I read somehow I just don’t remember exactly what it said.

He will definitely sue for full buyout, he is not going to go quietly… frankly I would too, it’s in his contract that LSU signed, but Ed knows this will be his last job

Hey Ed O has done good. Great even. He is the wealthiest guy to ever come out of Larose. He can buy his momma a new car and house. He can get a boat to catch fish and shrimp, with a big tv and out door kitchen to watch LSU and Saints games. He can buy beer and whiskey for the rest of his life. He has lived the dream. He has done good! Won a national championship! Can call Burreaux and get him to come down sometime. He did what he wanted to do Cher! No since I’m throwing a temper tantrum or messing up shite at LSU. Let’s face it he is a tiger fan! He just has a better place to watch the tigers right now! It’s all good Cher!

For all of his flaws, I believe he genuinely loves LSU. He’ll take the money and go.

Right question - why would O budge on a $17mln buyout?

Barring dead girls or live boys (RIP Gov Edwards) leverage on him, that is.

That is about 2 games worth of ticket sales (round numbers). Somebody needs to tap LSU's finance department to help with a more balanced risk buyout for next coach. Whomever else is culpable for the Pelini and Canada costs needs to pitch in too.

Great points. I agree 100%. Everyone saying LSU has cause is failing to say what it is. There are rumors O has done stuff, but are they true? And why didn’t LSUact quickly.

You are also right that someone needs to corral Woodson and stop him from signing these irresponsible contracts.

I would not be surprised if O and Pomansky trash the football ops building on their way out the door.

I wouldn’t doubt it, either really give a shite about the school or program.

Either way, I would definitely disinfect the offices and make sure to clean all the boogers from up under Pomansky’s desk.

As he’s free to. But there’s already enough to fire with cause. He would lose. And there are some personal things that would come out publicly about him he will not want out. So he would get nothing and his dirty laundry would be aired for all. It’s a dirty business behind closed doors.

But it never comes to that. These things are standard and customary. Same thing happened with Urban at OSU. He will take his money and go. He’s made a lot of money. He’s not going to commit public suicide for a chance to get an extra 8 million.
