he was the MVP of the game and we only won by 7....
Im aware of that, he played with great poise and made some key plays in the game and deserved the MVP. If LSU hadnt signed RP they wouldve signed someone that was a top recruit. Again, Im not here to bash the guy, but he didnt live up to his end of the deal. And if people want to blame him some for the decline, Im hard pressed to take issue with it.

If we're going to blame RP for the struggles of 08-09, let us not forget the Co-DC debacle.

Hopefully, he got his drug issues taken care of. If so, good for him. I wish him well
this should be the attitude we all take, but instead people are still bitter and wish him bad fortune for a mistake he made as a teenager almost 10 years ago.

He steered the top LA qb in quite some time to not come to LSU. Still like RP?

One could argue that he did live up to his end. Who really expected better from him with the "me" attitude he had through recruiting, seems like he performed "true to form". Pretty sure there was one coach who didn't want that poison on the LSU team. Miles was just going for a Dinardo/Faulk type impact. Looking at QB situation since, it was the exact opposite.

I'd love to hear why you think that.

And who would that LA quarterback be?

Shea posted an article shortly after the Narcisse announcement that stated that Narcisse himself told him Ryan Perrilloux and Corey Webster both spoke extremely favorably about LSU and gave the impression he felt that is where both would have liked to see him go.
So, as tigers23 said, "I'd love to hear why wou think that."
For those that actually want to know what RP is up to these days(and not just bash him for QB woes or personal agendas) he has been with The New Orleans Voodoo, is rehabbing from surgery for an injury sustained during a Voodoo game last year, and he trains a number of young quarterbacks in southern Louisiana.
It may be an exercise in futility, but try to comprehend that not everyone is exactly the same person they were a decade ago. Asinine thought right?

dude was on the giants for a couple of years, and by all accounts, got his act together, and got a college degree. Not sure why you still hold a grudge this many years later.

And if he had not been a dumbfrick we would have STILL had the 2007 NC, and NOT had the struggles of the 2008 and 2009 teams.
you know who was actually affected by his actions? himself. just be glad he brought you the joy of getting to watch your favorite team win a national championship, due in large part to his play that year

My Dad said he saw up in Jacksonville earlier in the year. He used to see him a lot in Jeffersons when he was at JSU but he was around the square area with what looked to be a couple family members he guessed. Not sure what was going on.

He's accusing Perilloux of driving off St. James QB Lowell Narcisse to AU.

Actually, I think he works security at The Varsity.

Love some of these comments. I'm sure nobody else fricked up when they were 18-22. Bunch of hypocrites. Sure I was mad when it happened, but hopefully the guy got his life on track and is doing well. He knows he fricked up and has owned up to it. He can't change the past, but at least he took responsibility for it last I heard.
