It’s hard to get tickets
When individual tickets went on sale I was able to get 4 seats in the outfield for 4 games, 3 of the 4 games were Sundays.
Everything else was SRO.

Stubhub has plenty but they are usually overpriced, the prices usually drop day before which makes it difficult for last minute plans with kids.

Not to mention I paid 22.00 in fees for 4 tickets to Friday nights game.

To me traffic isn’t that bad, if you pay to park in the golf course lot (10.00) you are right there.
Concessions are overpriced but that’s no different than going to the movies.

Its terrible that they won't make the student section all the seats between 1st and 3rd base at the box.

Very poor crowd this afternoon.

I know the weather was bad, but still.

Don’t go to Stubhub. I bought 2 for the Sunday game vs Texas. Only singles available from lsutix.net. Once we got in, plenty of seats available. Parked right across the street for$10. Moved to seats behind 1st base. Hung around after to visit with family. No traffic when we left. I’ll give you poor, over-priced concessions, but no other reason to not show up and support your team.

I’ve been to my fair share of games this year. Even stayed until the 18th pitcher of the Saturday night 8th inning.

BUT I must say.

The price of a chicken basket is absolutely insane. But i can’t complain I eat before and bring my own sunflower seeds in.

And corporate tickets are going unused. I know of 1 company that I have been to the game with a couple times this year with 4 tickets that went unused all weekend.

It's just a different mentality than it was years ago....gone are the golden years of the 60's and the 70's where people went to the game and stayed till the end.... today the corporate general public and the students don't seem to care

There was also a time whenever if you wanted to watch the game you had to be there. At this point in my life I would just rather watch the game at my house rather than go to the stadium and it’s not because of priceif concessions or parking. Just more convenient to consume the same product at my house. I’m sure there are a lot of people that feel the same way. Doesn’t make people any less of a fan or that fan support is down because of it. This is not an LSU problem this is a national problem across all sports.

Late season big series and postseason the box will still be packed. When that starts to dwindle that’s when you should worry about fan support.

This is the reason for me and the same goes for football. I still like to go to a couple games a year because it's a different experience but I prefer to watch most of them on tv. If I lived in BR I would probably go to a lot more games.

Reserved parking has gone up as well, not to mention half the parking lots right by Alex Box never get used - such a waste

I gave up my season football tickets last year after not going to any games the previous two seasons. It's just not worth the hassle when you can turn on your TV and sit in your recliner in the air conditioning. Same goes for baseball as well. Not less a fan, just more relaxing.

Within the next 10/20 years I think you will see a lot lower attendance at most sporting events.
Due to cost of not only tickets and everything else - parking and concessions plus the current generation of students who will not be the type of season ticket holder you've had for the past 30 years is going to change the landscape of college athletics forever.

That is such a played out line.

We live in an age with more options for entertainment at our fingertips than ever before. The sports fan has demanded more, most places have failed to deliver a better experience to the fans.

People will not be herded in and out, sit on bleachers, listen to crap audio and visual, put up with crap concessions, bad parking and all to call themselves a 'fan', they dont have to. They can take in the game anywhere they choose, with who they choose and be just as big of a fan.

If you want to fix attendance, administration needs to worry less about increasing the number of seats at venues, an invest more into each seat.

Build future venues that make the experience so unique you cant get it unless you are at the park.
